- A man's body was found in a barrel at Lake Mead, shot in the head, and thrown in the water as much as 50 years ago.
Before investigators can even begin to search for a suspect, they need to identify the victim-something that's been a challenge in this case.

Somebody who may have witnessed something they shouldn't have or uncovered some type of illegal dealing accidentally and was silenced. To go to that trouble means the perpetrator (s) wanted this person to disappear and never be found, they didn't anticipate Lake Mead drying up though.

Figuring out who it is will be much easier than scientifically proving it. Unless the man's family had multiple male members that disappeared 50 years ago, it should be fairly straight forward. You only need a DNA hit on almost any relative. They'll lead investigators to the missing member of the family.
2 years ago when lake mead was low, news channels reported like it was the end of the world and it was all climate change from cow farts and my old dodge truck, now in this video the lake is filling up and this lady nonchalantly says “lake levels normally fluctuate”…. You probably missed it right?

TRAX are from KMart... I know, because I had a pair when I was a kid. Looking at the clothes and shoes, all I can think of is, this person was not a rich person by any means. I'd also say, if he was a resident in the Vegas area, I'd look at those places where rents were the cheapest at the estimated time. He was probably a blue-collar worker, possibly working odd jobs, also likely single, but not sure. He may not be a resident from Vegas but a transport to the area from another area or state. I'd look at possible missings persons reports of the times as well. But given he may not be from the area, this too may be a poor lead.
