God bless!! My ma was diagnosed with colon cancer and told she had possibly 3 weeks to live. She was rushed into surgery and then started treatments. That was more than 20 years ago. She's alive and well and still kickin it. Fight to the end.

Bless his heart. What a hero. I worked with a guy 12 yrs he got diagnosed with terminal cancer he came to work right up to the last few months. He was doing 10-12 hr days. He died in his late 40s. Far too young. This disease needs to be stopped.

This brings tears to my eyes. I live right where the eye of the hurricane hit in Holiday Beach, a part of Rockport. Any time I see stories about Harvey it makes me tear up. Houston got hit hard with all of the floodings, it's awful. Floods here in HB were bad, but nothing to that extent. When Barry hit Louisiana I cried for them just because of the experience... It hits you differently when you've actually been through it...
Ironic fact, when we were first moving to Rockport years ago, hurricanes were something I was so scared about. I talked myself down saying "What are the odds that a hurricane hits us? It's a slim chance." 4 years after moving here, and only one month after my mom built a brand new house out in Holiday Beach, Harvey came along and made my fear come true.
