This is the most adorable iteration of a Chupacabra I've ever seen. It actually looks more like an Alebrije. Putting it on my watch list!

With "more like an alibrije" you're implying that it's a type of creature, but when I google the world "alibrije" the article implies that it's an art style, so this chupacabra could look like an anlibrije but not "more like" an alibrije. It’s basically E.T. but with chupacabras! Plus, this is the first movie chupacabra that doesn’t give you nightmares, it just makes you want to hug and snuggle with it!

What an amazing adventure movie on Netflix. I saw it only once in my computer. It was my first time seeing it this month. A creature called a chupacabra, I never saw or heard of it in my whole life until now. The chupacabra is a mythical feline beast with fur, sharp teeth and claws, and has a pair of feathered wings. How extraordinary. And this chupacabra is just a baby cub full of fun. Oh, I just love that little guy. Chupa is so cute, but also curious about everything in the human world. If I was in a magical place, I would love to meet him and his family, Chupa's mother and the other chupacabras. I believe this story came from Mexico and the creature's name sounds Spanish to me. I love that Chupa. As Alex told the cub, "No matter where I am, I'll always be by your side." It's really beautiful.
this adventure movie suits to accompany family time with our lovely ones. the plot, the stories, the soundtracks are such perfect combination to be such great movie! ill put five stars!

As a Filipino, you might crack up or get confused by the title at first because the word is kinda vulgar and some folks consider it a taboo in our language. But hey, I'm stoked to watch this flick because it looks really intriguing. Who knows, maybe I'll end up loving CHUPA after all! HAHAHAHA

For those of you who don’t know the story behind the Chupacabras, it’s origin comes from Puerto Rico and not Mexico. Back in the mid 90’s farmers were waking up to dead cattle, goats and chickens and they all had the same pattern, 2 holes in the neck and no blood inside them. The locals described seeing an unknown creature of about 4 to 5 feet tall, big eyes, sharp teeth and bat like wings. Few years later small towns in Mexico described seeing a similar creature.

I know the name origin is from PR but the sighting go way back since Aztec times also Mayans have recorded similar sighting in Mexico/Belize/Guatemala. I know the Andes have similar sighting in Chile/Peru they all had different names for it. My guess is since they were so similar they all adopted chupacabra since in reality it's easier to pronounce

That was in Dr Marin's farm and then attacked in Moca, where they called it "Vampiro de Moca. " 😂... Those were good times, reading enigma magazine, lol...

A better name should have been used, as this is nothing like the chupacabra from PR, where the name originates from.

1995? I grew up during the 70's 80's in Central Texas to a rancher family, and I recall the stories and several supposed sightings then. The tale and sightings go way back than just the 90s.

@@Wildflower687 not really, and it also depends which part of Mexico we are talking about. The northern Mexican states have almost 80-100% European heritage, while the southern Mexican states is mostly indigenous heritage. On average Mexicans are mestizo, about 60% euro/40% native.

If you’re going to use mixed heritage as your main argument to invalidate their NA ancestry, you’ll have to do that across the board, and I don’t know many northern natives who will be receptive of that rhetoric. Being of mixed European and indigenous heritage doesn’t make them “not really” Native American. That’s an absurd argument.

If anyone remembers the movie water horse, where they explore on the idea of lochness monster/ nessie, this radiates so much of that movie its nostalgic and wholesome. Seems like a nice casual watch.
