The Lakers just need a decent coach and bench players that can actually contribute. They sold all of their losses to the Nuggets. And a lot of people don’t mention but LeBron sold himself on awful turnovers and shot selections. Yes he was a main contributor but he was handling the ball and shooting way too much. @Maxjuliann Losing and winning is all about the narrative. If we talked about Jordan’s losses in the playoffs and that career wise Jordan is 45-50% in playoff wins, and 100% in the finals. It’s 45-50 because Jordan got swept and bounced out the playoffs the first 3 years of his career, and then the other three years couldn’t make it past the 2nd round. We still look at him as the goat because we ignore the hiccups and losses and the fact that bro retired 2-3 times while Lebron has never stopped playing. Also he’s the oldest starting player in the NBA, he shouldn’t be in the discussion as a first option anymore but here the lakers are, having to rely on him.

    *Penny* *Hardaway*
So I’ve been aware that Michael Cooper is entering the Hall of Fame this year and he was nominated for a really long time. It got me thinking? Why not Anfernee Deon “Penny” Hardaway? He was nominated to the HoF for the first time next to the recently deceased Walter Davis whom Michael Jordan idolized as a kid.
The reason why I believe Penny Hardaway should be in the Hall of Fame is because Tracy McGrady got in there and as a first year ballot! Penny showed class to show up to Shaq’s Orlando Magic jersey retirement. Shaq ditched Penny for LA. I like how they’re still cool while MJ and Scottie won 6 rings and can no longer be in the same events together.
    Tracy McGrady
    7x All-Star
    2x All-NBA First Team
    3x All-NBA Second Team
    2x All-NBA Third Team
    2x scoring champion
    Most Improved Player
    Penny Hardaway
    4x All-Star
    2x All-NBA First Team
    1x All-NBA Third Team
    All-Rookie First Team
I know Penny only had 4 good years starting with his rookie year until his injury in 1997. But he did make the Finals by his 2nd year. T-Mac couldn’t get out of the First Round for years. Then didn’t make it passed the Semis until he got to Houston. Made the Finals with the Spurs in 2013 as one of the last guys coming off the bench. Michael Cooper won 1 DPOY, 5 rings, but was never an all-star and averaged 8.9 PPG in his career.
Vlade Divac is in the HoF. Toni Kukoc was an all-star once and he’s in the HoF. Penny is better than them both when all were at their peak. Chris Webber is in the HoF. I believe Penny Hardaway will eventually get in there. More people will realize he deserves it and also look at his NCAA coaching contributions. Penny will have Shaq as his HoF presenter.

I love LeBron but he should probably just retire. He can still do it physically, but I don’t think he connects with his younger teammates or even coaching staff because he’s so superior and knows the game more than anyone on the team. And that comes with a lot of pressure as a teammate…cause if you don’t meet his expectations..you could be out of there.

Lebron is the most popular and polarizing player, but hasn't been the best player in years.Still very productive but if you watch the game and not just look at stats and highlights. He takes alot of plays off defensively and offensively he has to pick and choose spots cause he is much older and gets more tired then when he was young

If youre gonna talk about a guy who isn't top 5 then do it for the others too. Call me crazy but why not talk more about the teams that are left? Crazy idea i know. Also the longer he plays the worst it gets. End of story

@shawnkeith2414 that’s the dumbest take I’ve ever seen. Bro has 4 rings, we’re not calling Steph curry a failure for getting 4 championships. He has more rings the majority of players who have ever played the nba. There’s literally like 20 dudes collectively with more rings than Lebron in the history of the sport which has had tens of thousands of players. Let’s talk about how your favorite team likely hasn’t won a championship either ever or in years because that’s the reality for 90% of the NBA teams.

Nobody wants to admit this because then that’s admitting that the things Lebron was doing was abnormal. He lead a Cleveland team of nobodies twice to the finals, a good team of Cleveland players to a ring, the heat to 2 rings and the lakers to 1. If he’s on the right team he could get 1-2 more but that’s if he wants to actually ring chase the end of his career which I don’t think he will.

  • @JamieKennedi
    @JamieKennedi Před 12 dny

I agree with Perk because it will take too much to build a team around Lebron. Thats the problem. If you look at the teams right now in the playoffs; they are young teams willing to listen and they are growing together. Lebron expects you to be already done growing and then he stifles the people around him, this includes coaches. He wanted to get rid of Spokelstra and he is a hall of fame coach now. If they would have listened to Lebron he would not be. Lebron is done just wrap it up because the Lakers do not pay coaches well, they offer no support to the coach in backing him up against players like a Lebron and AD. So you will not be getting some high level coach. Player wise the young guys are staying with their teams if they can because no one wants to go to the Lakers and be Lebron's towel boy and scape goat. So thats dead. He accomplished so much just go.
