    These licks were crafted as I considered fancy and fun ways to go up and down the neck, connecting two common playing positions! They work for slower, swingy tunes as well as toe tappers...if you can get 'em fast enough!

    I really appreciate, even more than the specific licks, your ability to teach those licks. I like the last lick with the pull off at the end. Sounds like something Tony Wray might do.

    Hello Ben! I know this isn't the right video to ask this but I'll give it a try anyway. Every time I try the three string forward roll with only three notes it ends up sounding like a waltz. What am I doing wrong??

      Are you playing along with a backing track? You need to play along with music that has 4 beats and get used to the sound of 3 roll notes against a 4 beat rhythm.

      @@BanjoBen No I don't have any such equipment but I tried something: I remember the old jazz/swing song "In the Mood" which I can hear in my head. I played that rhythm but made it more staccatto (?) and I think it's sounding better or at least feels better. I will get myself a metronome for sure.
