Loved this reaction guys. I remember John singing 'Help' as I watched it on TV that night so so nervouse for him as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was in the audience and I know John's nerves would have been enormous. Just great to go down memory lane .
I just love your reactions thankyou
Thank Deb
Cheers guys
You're welcome David ❤ I've just finished Part 7. Hope you enjoy these. 😂🎉
@@AussieDebb I will definitely enjoy them and thanks again
This was fantastic guys - thank you so much. 🙏 ❤ Your comments are wonderful and dont forget Tina Turner and others have covered Johns HELP, Fellipe. 🎉 John has sung it hundred's of times. Call him Farnsey Paul LOL!! ❤😂🎉
He was with a couple of small bands as a teenager while he was doing plumbing, thank God he had wonderful parents who supported him no matter what.
Its ANZAC Day here in Australia 🇦🇺 today and its quite emotional remembering all of our Aussie
and NZ men and women who we lost, who were injured and traumatised by war. Personally, I am remembering my Pop (WW1), my Dad and 6 Uncles who served in WWII. We are one of the fortunate, blessed families because they all came home to us without physical injury, but their traumatic experience and memories of mates getting killed never left them. I will share a part of the television footage later today. Actually I think I'll do a bit of a series on the history of the ANZACs at some stage if you would like. ❤🎉
That sounds awesome! Enjoy your day, we will record part 3 today, thanks Deb!
That was great thank you. I would love to see some of Fellipe's illustrations, especially if you do one of John. Looking forward to the next one in this series...❤
Hi Jojo. I missed it live - work 😢 Glad you enjoyed it ❤🎉
@AussieDebb 👋
I was on my lonesome, but it meant I could focus on watching John...haha! Most times, I miss the live chats, so at least I was early for this one. I'm used to talking to myself 😁. I enjoyed it very much. I hope you had a good day at work. ❤️
Apparently John was so nervous before the variety show he couldn’t speak and there was concerns he couldn’t go on 😂
There's another ledgen called jimmy barnes in Australia 🇦🇺
He was electrician or as we say sparky
Him and john sang songs together as well they where friends and rivals at the time
But no animosity between them both happy to see the other do well he's in the documentary speaking about john
Look at you guys bringing out the Aussie humour
Be hanging out with Aussie's to long 😂😂😂
Cheers fellas 🦘🇦🇺👍
We've been introduced to Barnsey 😄😁

The cool thing about John's version of this song is that we finally got to take notice of this song's beautiful lyrics.
There are a lot of singers who now sing John's version. Most notably Tina Turner.
Also this song was also a turning point for Johns career and in a way was an actual cry for help as at the time he his career had litterally "gone down the toilet" as Debbie said he was being held back by his Manager during that time.
Around this time John had finally broken away from his "dodgy" manager, changed his name to the more grown up John and recorded the more contemporary album called Uncovered. He collaborated with Graham Gobles, (of The Little River Band) to produce the album the way he wanted it to be. Graham wrote the majority of the songs on the album especially for John, and Johns version of Help was included on the album along with a song John wrote for his wife called Jilly's Song. (Which is also a gorgeous little song)
A couple of years later Gobles invited John to join the Little River Band to replace Glenn Shorrock as the Lead singer where he stayed for 4 years. And when he left the. He was finally ready to give his solo career as an adult contemporary artist a shot.....and Australias highest ever selling album Whispering Jack was recorded.. and John has never looked back since
Tina Turner died 24 May 2023 (age 83 years).
I do remember Paul McCartney say Help was supposed to be a ballad.
We probably wouldnt have met if he stayed a plumber 😂😂
Debbies last name is pronounced "Burn".
I saw Debbie open for The Highwaymen in Brisbane . I got to see five absolute stars that night. Debbie,Willie,Waylon,Johnny and Kris.
@@PaulA-bv1rt Wow! That would be a night to remember 🤩 Thank you for watching. Part 3 goes live today at 4pm AEST. Thanks Paul 😁
Yeah he needs a long cord ,,Little river band shortened his mic cord to stop him bouncing around the stage
