Yes, we should confirm with Holy Spirit that it is truly from Him. We can nurture those prophetic words by praying to God and asking the Lord what He would have us to do with the prophetic word. At the same time using wisdom and being truly led by the Holy Spirit.

As. an ordained prophet... I wanted to hear your take. Its so important that we also have our own walk with Holy Spirit so we can either bear witness to and discern those prophetic words that are from Him... and also to know the word so well so we can test the spirit and find scripture to stand on as we wage war for those real prophecies we have received.
Absolutely, sis. A close relationship with the Holy Spirit is paramount if we truly want to hear from God. Most of us these days are lazy Christians; we prefer hearing from man rather than seeking the face of God, fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit, and letting the Word transform us. As a result, we miss the mark.
The bible tells us to be aware of wolves and ship clothing. The only way we can do that is stay knowledgeable of the word of God and spend time praying and fellowship in with the Holy spirit. But when will we do that when we are busy with life busy with social media busy with phones?Or busy Minding businesses that are not from the kingdom of God. We need grace and discernment.

Our pastor would also remind us that God shows us His plans for us through personal prophecy, but we have to partner with God to see the fulfilment of that prophecy. Personal prophecies are usually conditional and we shouldn't take advantage of this gift. 🌟
That's a 💯 correct. This is also the power of agreement with God and with ourselves. And giving God permission to do what he said he would do in our lives.
I do remember my prophecy about ministering to young women and blessing them in their marriage and spiritual growth. I did nurture the prophecy and God has done great things in my life as I obeyed. However, you're right about people not nurturing and protecting the prophecy to see the fulfillment of it. Prophecies must also be in alignment with God's Word for a person.

I’d normally wait to see the fulfilment of the prophecy and to obey on what’s made clear by God’s word. Yes, I need to act and prepare to receive the blessing when the Lord sees it fit. Usually, it gives me the chance or the time to check whether the prophet is genuine or not. Thank you dear sis for sharing. Blessings to you and yours
That's right sis. It first has to be a prophecy from a tried, and true man or woman of God. Usually the prophet confirms what God has already told us. So its not usually completely new information. Though it could sometimea be. And once we know its a true Word, confirmed and backed up by the Word that God already told us, and the bible supports it, we can definitely act up on it.
The word prophesy is a loosely used word and in my experience, people rarely confirm them with the Word of God.
