    For all those asking why the tear down of the stands and the tower are not foreseen by the project... the stadium was built in 1929 and it is considered an historical monument, protected by the national cultural commission. Touching the old stadium structure is not allowed, unfortunately!

      protected by UNESCO, this stadium is also visible in Italians' passports images. National cultural commission and also UNESCO forbidded the destruction of tower, old room and old stands. I guess it's the only way to get a more modern stadium without tearing down the old one.

      Because the stadium was built in 1929, (this stadium has 100years) and was built by Benito Mussolini, for this reason if you look the stadium from the High you can see that has "D" shape, That it means the initial of Dux, the name with which the dictator Mussolini was named. it also has a monumental entrance and a very tall and ancient tower, which is why it is protected as a heritage site, considered a Monument

      @cuoreviola89 Před 2 měsíci

      Infatti si va verso una mobilità più sostenibile, con una linea tramviaria che si ferma di fronte allo stadio. E' l'ora di smetterla di spostarsi in 1-2 persone in macchina, semplicemente ridicolo e dannoso per la natura. Per gli ostinati, faranno un parcheggio da 4000 posti auto in zona stazione Campo di Marte.

      the stands behind the goals are protected by UNESCO, same as tower and old roof above the main stand. I guess they will just wait the old stands show sign of collapse to get the approval for demolishment, at that point they'll have plenty of space.
