The use of a wider field of view (FOV) in Battlefield serves multiple purposes. It enhances the cinematic experience and provides better visibility, crucial for survival in vehicular combat. In a dynamic battlefield with enemies emerging from all directions, relying solely on first-person view (FPV) is not a viable strategy for prolonged survival.
In earlier titles like Battlefields 3 and 4, FPV was feasible due to the presence of proximity sensors, thermal vision, and superior acceleration. The .50-cal gunner seat provided unmatched protection and a 360-degree view, making the tanks and IFVs formidable in BF4.
However, in Battlefield 5, significant changes in tank mechanics have shifted the gameplay meta. With reduced acceleration, absence of thermal vision, and increased vulnerability for top gunners, a defensive strategy has become imperative. This strategic shift, exemplified in Degbil's videos, adds complexity and intrigue to tank warfare, requiring players to adapt to a more supportive role in infantry assaults.
Type 97?
Nah that's a Type 3 Chi-Nu.

Why do you use that FOV?
It looks better on the video. Things don't appear tiny and it's easier for the viewers to see.
