Sailing Men's RS:X Windsurfer Medal Race. Full Replay from the Weymouth and Portland at the London 2012 Olympic Games, 7 August 2012
Sailing was first contested as an Olympic sport at the 1900 Paris Games. Since then, the classes of boats allowed to compete have continually evolved to reflect advances in yacht design and technology. Equipment advances over the past 20 years have created a trend towards smaller and lighter craft, placing ever greater demands on both the athletic and technical capacities of the sailors.

Nice
Damn they are so good
There is not enough wind !
Why do they keep turning? Is it to get to a position for best wind?
Yes, they need to reach certain checkpoints on the water and depending on the windposition, they need to find the best racks...
You can't go directly upwind in wind-powered sports, but you can go about 45 degrees off upwind thanks to some nifty physics, so to make progress in the direction the wind is coming from you have to zig-zag.
Its not the last time! Its going out of style? Windsurf depends solely on the Olympics apperantly according to the committee, so ifthey dont find it fun the world will follow suit and stop windsurfing and convert to kites? And now that its in 2020, the world of windsurfing can take a breath of relief as it is still very much in fashion as established by the committee.
