Excellent guest. Commenting before starting the video. Ashiquzzaman Tulu is a legend who founded a band ahead of its time. I remember I was 7 when I first heard "sweety" and "eto kosto keno valobasay", I liked the melody, but never got the voice of Hasan suitable. Now I am 30, and I truly can appreciate the talent of Tulu vai, Pancham vai, or Hasan vai. Those are the times that will never come back. Stay healthy legend.
I used to think Hasan has a very feminine voice. But now looking back I can appreciate how audacious, bold yet how melodious Hasan was ! He never went out of tune, even at high pitches ! I don't think there is another vocalist like Hasan in Bangla rock music. Truly one of a kind

@@musicphilebd9862 Agreed, even though they were popular, I strongly feel we didn't understand them. The narrative was, that Ark was a feminine band, and LRB/NagarBaul were masculine. Now I hear them again and get the true essence of their talent. Nowadays, the Bangla Band scene is still pretty good, but they couldn't produce a lot of melodies (as Tulu vai said) that hit your subconscious and stay with you.

I didn't even buy their album by myself (too small to buy anyway), there was a college student in our neighborhood named isteaque who was playing Ark (or Hasan's Music in general) from dawn to dusk, it seemed like some DJ was playing while we play in the field. If we don't like some song, we pressed their calling bell and shout to him to change the song. That was a strange time.
This 56min video took me hours to finish, because I had to listen to originals of every single song referenced in talk, walking on memory lane; multiple times. Never gets old, never get to have enough of Ark.

I used to buy all the cassette records of Ark during my school days. I used to like Pancham, but later I started liking Moon. Now I have lost track of them. Those were the golden days. During Eid, mixed albums used to come to the market, and I used to buy them for 30-35 Taka in Khulna. I have lots of memories associated with them.

Thanks for briging legendary Tulu Bhai. Similar to Jon Bhaia, i first fall for Bangla Bands while Ark came up in my arc. And probably there where i fallen for upcoming black and Jon. I still have every cassette where ark performed. Lucky or unlucky dont know but seen them performing live only once in life.

Jon doesn't get nearly enough praise for being the stellar vocal that he is. Even if we count all the songs of Black and Indalo, none has yes fully yet encapsulated the brilliance of Jon's vocal.

Thanks for briging legendary Tulu Bhai. Similar to Jon Bhaia, i first fall for Bangla Bands while Ark came up in my arc. And probably there where i fallen for upcoming black and Jon. I still have every cassette where ark performed. Lucky or unlucky dont know but seen them performing live only once in life.
