Baseball Mental | How to stop an error from ruining your entire game

Today's mental game tip comes from former Major League infielder Doug Bernier - How players can mentally recover after making an error.
How do you move on and still play well after making a fielding error? When you have the pit in your stomach, that feeling of embarrassment, that sadness over knowing you let down your team... it can be really hard to get your mind back in the game. To make things even worse, this often leaves us vulnerable to making even MORE errors... a sort of snowball effect. Today I want to share with you the only 2 strategies that ever worked for me personally.

this helps a lot had a bad game today and my team got super mad at me i was really mad at myself too but now that i know this i will get better at recovering from my mistakes

Thanks man I’ve been trying to get over my mistakes and I try to let go of them quick but it doesn’t work sometimes. Because it’s a bit harder for me to let go of mistakes so ima try to move past errors

Yeah I play 14u and I was having a great game until I made and error then I got frustrated and rushed and it messed my game up.

@@yahexzanz3600 yeah I’ve been struggling like that for a while. When I have a good game I very thing goes good but when I make an error or something happens it’s hard for me to move past it. Over the years I’ve gotten better at letting go but sometimes it’s just so hard.

@@yahexzanz3600 I had the same thing happen I was having a great game 2 hits 4 putouts and one error ruined the rest of the game

Thanks dude I had a game today and the ball got hit to my pitcher and he started to run to first so I thought he was gonna touch the bag not flip it to me and he ended up flipping it to me but he did a side arm flip so I tried to bare hand it and I missed it and every one was yelling at me and when I was pitching I walked 3 batters in a row I had a bad pitching day it ruined my game
