Entre principios y mediados de los 70, fue un referente en pro del renacimiento de la cultura euskaldun y por derivación contra el franquismo. Enardecidos y hasta emocionados por su vibrante tono, no hacía falta mucho para vernos bailar a su son, a la navarra, a lo suelto o como fuese, conscientes de lo que seguro "jodía". Cuando muera, igual alguien cae en la cuenta de lo bueno que ha sido Enrike Zelaia.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE SIXTH WORLD ACCORDION MUSIC ENCOUNTER The REYES Y JUGLARES VALLENATOS Foundation is inviting performers, both solo artists and groups whose repertoire uses the accordion as a central instrument, to the Sixth World Accordion Music Encounter. Any music genre, such as popular, classic/academy or folklore is welcome, as well as theater and dance. Self-funding artists in visual and fine arts, handicrafts with accordion as a main inspiration are also encouraged to take part. Event date and location: Valledupar, state capital of Cesar, in Colombia, from the 4th to the 7th of June of 2014. The selected artists will have to self fund their transportation fares to Valledupar. Accommodation, meals and local transportation for the scheduled events will be provided by the foundation for the selected performers, they will have to arrive on the 4th and exit on the 8th. Visual artists and artisans will have to self fund their participation, but will have free access to collective exhibit rooms. In order to finance the transportation fares to Valledupar, artists are allowed to make sponsor arrangements using the encounter’s media, like: posters, newspaper ads, and brochures; or mentions during performances. There will be maximum 4 performances per group during the encounter, and performers can bring CD’s, books and souvenirs for sale.
