What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for CZcams, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! Nice to see someone playing the game as it was supposed to be played. Everyone else is rushing the content, which is boring.. and lacks the real intended challenge of the game. Love the content.
19:30 From what I recall, they nerfed Kevin's fish catching skills and made him tired after catching just 3 fishes. Might help to build camp fires, chairs or Blueberries so that he can recover faster by using them. Yeah, he's got a stamina meter now so those things are quite needed to be around the camp.
He's great for gathering sticks
@@blainebickle1178 he's really great at it.... I love him for that! All though, its better to make him clear an area first before asking him to gather sticks so that he wont get tired so fast. Dunno why but he doesn't seem to run out of energy when Clearing an area.
Yeah fish traps work better now, and they cook so quick it's the better way.

Not only that, youtube has an issue where you can get copyright strikes because some wealthy guy claims that he owns it even though he doesn't. And unless you're willing to pay legal fees to fight it, you just get screwed

Yes! So glad to see you jump back into sons of the forest. Ive been absolutely loving it. I have spent majority of my time building a base (on like day 30) but the building is so much fun. When you decide to build a base, one thing i will say is save and save often. I dont want to spoil why, but death and destruction are a very real threat when building.
"There is no reason to build a base in SOTF"... Property value being so high, rent and gas being so high. This is about as close we get to building our own home..... Its a GREAT reason. lol
There's no reason to play the story in SotF is my opinion xD

So much has changed in this game people talking about stew and soups that you can make. Loved this game and am excited to see it shown some love.

someone probably told you already but if you are planing on doing alot of building, you may wanna beat the game first. after your first time beating the game it unlocks an option under gameplay that allows you to skip building animations. sooooo ready for this content thanks for coming back to sons of the forest

That strength meter is like the original forest. Where the more you do physical labour the more strength you gain
Sickness doesn’t do much. It just lowers your max health a little bit temporarily
If there was anything I would add to the game, I'd make an option for Kelvin to be vulnerable or not. If you want your boy to be un targeted by the cannibals and mutants, he can fight back, with difficulty due to his impairment. But if not targeted, make it so he won't fight to make it fair.
That cave you went in was an exit cave. Also you missed the flashlight (and GPS tag) by the modern axe.

In almost every tactical group, military or otherwise, there's always one guy that's loyal, dependable, and hard working, but needs to be told what to do every step of the way. That's not a bad thing, you need people that will follow orders, otherwise everyone is constantly trying to out think everyone else. I think Kelvin is stunned at first but he snaps out of it pretty quickly. He's been damaged, but he's just that guy that wants someone to tell him what to do. *But,* because that guy prefers doing things without much thought, he can get himself and others around him into some numb nut situations. If you've been in the military, you know at least one Kelvin.
If you have sticks in your inventory and you look at the tarp that you want to make a shelter, just right click on the up arrow icon
One option in reference to the in-game music would be to tweet the actual composer Gabe Castro and ask him about playing his music in videos/streaming and copyright issues. He obviously would know better than anyone in the comments. He's even posts the music tracks on CZcams.
Problems arise when bots copyright claim it in "bad faith" causing the bot owner to immediately get the revenue from the video, while forcing Kage to get in touch with CZcams and lawyers to fight the issue, and in the end the bot owner still retains partial monetization.
Man the foliage in games has come a long way, damn near photo realistic in this game.

I watched almost all your old forest videos. Watched all the ones with Bloodstalker and Mike. Those were a gas. But I never bought and played the game. Not sure why.
10:35 looks like a exit cave. 12:43 Naw, that's super new still, you stopped playing awhile ago. 13:53 default LShift to place multiple ghost images at once. We still can build on ice, thank goodness. The rebreather cave on the beach is a must to move forward {don't forget the artifact in there too}. Great video...💖
The lake is called Lake AGroup.

I normally look up to the treehouse and if jumping is needed I do that while pressing G and send the log flying up there 😁

Nah man, best survival game is ARK despite the bugs etc, that game is just too fuckin good, second is maybe Project Zomboid, especially after next update

I don't know what it is, and I know I'm in the minority, but I do not like most of everything in this new game. Especially the golf cart. I very much prefer The Forest over Sons Of The Forest.

Correction on my end: He repeatedly refers to the fact he's played it before. So, he knows where everything is, and tells everyone that

In this one, you play as John Holt, a journalist. For future reference when you get the flask, you can fill it with your soups. So, if you do a meat stew, you can fill your canteen with it, *and* carry a cooking pot full of it, too. Completely eliminates the worry in long caves for food and hydration, as the soups give you both.

'The forest' is in my top 5. 'Sons of the forest' isn't even in my top 50. Nothing innovative outside manually cutting logs, gets boring quickly, and released like most trash these days 1\4 finished. The only positive is lack of mtx and live service... That is until they somehow figure out a way to implement it, and I'm sure they will.
it never released 1/4 finished. it was put in early access so they could roll out what they ALREADY HAD and address bugs and issues as well as get community feedback. You seem to not know what endnight does and how they work. The game is boring if you do not take full advantage of all the features. The melee combat is fun as all hell - timing blocking and trying to outsmart the cannibals. cannibals have communities where they dance together and hunt together, have to eat and drink, mourne lost members, and are at war with mutants. The in-world building system is a lot of fun and different from any survival game I have ever played. Stay mad and stay in your bubble, but I feel as though there is a LOT this game offers - especially at full release.
@temette6333 Dude played the early access and really said, this game is 1/4 finished. Bruh..... It's called Early Access for a reason, like are you actually for real? I dont think he can tell the difference between a full release and an Early Access.
