Andrew we watched it live and at times it was hilarious viewing, everyone had or has an opinion with something like this. All I can say is that your attitude towards this was first class and the tolerance shown was commendable, it’s often easy to complain at the first instance. I would have not shown the same patience as you. Unfortunately for them and the way your viewers can judge for themselves they could well have lost a lot of future customers. Maybe a return soon and another live might help. But they do need to help themselves. It was gold TV viewing, thank you for all you do in keeping everyone informed and I hope you had a decent breakfast to compensate😂😂

The concept of you cooking it yourself does not work. By the time the steak is cooked to your liking the side dishes are cold. If you do not inform the restaurant that you are not happy they will continue to serve sub par food. I understand that you live and have a business yourself in Tenerife but I also feel that if this happened in Florida you wouldn’t hesitate in complaining.
I wish I could be as positive as you and as forgiving.
I would never go back, it’s not like you don’t have other choices…..
How a restaurant reacts when things go wrong is the true measure how good they are, money off the bill simply isn’t enough, they have spoiled your evening.
Some establishments simply don’t care, they understaff and overbook knowing that another plane load of mugs arrives every 15 minutes

To be honest I don't feel you should have ben charged fort the steak, the staff should have told you that the sizzlers would not be enough to cook the steak how you like it, plus the fact that the sizzlers were faulty. You were very gracious about it all

Great vlog had us in stitches! 😂😂The problem with restaurants in tenerife is that they hate being asked for well done steak because once it’s over cooked there’s no going back. You can cook an undercooked steak but you can’t un cook an overcooked one! Personally I would have taken the steak home in a doggy bag even if it was just for Rio. Well worth another visit for a second chance - think on this occasion it was just a bad choice but one which you made on recommendation from the waitress. What I don’t understand is why, when they knew you were having issues with the burners they didn’t just offer to cook it in the kitchen, would have saved a lot of time and stress? 🤷♀️

Watched on catch up. Hilarious edge of the seat viewing! Had me and my husband shouting at the TV...... when the waitress offered you steak tartar .... "no Andrew you wont like it" , then when you ordered the cook it yourself steak "No! No Andrew, this wont go well ! " ..... (followed by us tutting "look it's raw, what did we say"), finally, after the sunglasses drama .. when you offered to walk through Veronicas..and remembering bad luck comes in 3s . "Nooooooo....Andrew what are you thinking" !. We should try our interactions live next time !
Don’t normally watch your lives and didn’t watch this one until Tuesday 😂😂 did skip some of this one and watched your meal - sorry but it was great entertainment although not a good experience for you. For me it would be the customer service that would stop me returning. Once they knew there was a problem they should have gone out of their way to make sure everything else was ok. Not having to ask again for the replacement for the mash and waiting a long time for tiramisu. Heading to Florida from Ormskirk/ Formby in 39 days with the family and 4 grandchildren. Soooo excited. Tiramisu on my snack list 🍰

Brilliant vlog 😂you gave them more than a chance and that music was total sh@te. Staff weren't 'lovely ' they tried to sell you premium and served cr@p. It really isn't rocket science it's f@cking cooking. I wouldn't go within a mile of there. Problem is as Brits we are too nice to people and don't want to upset people.
Oh dear! By the time it had taken to cook the steak, I'd have been that hungry I'd have eaten a buttered rat! My son used to work in a pub that did the 'sizzling' steak served on a stone or griddle; however it was cooked to the customer's preference first and then served and then served at the table sizzling on the stone/griddle. It was more of a gimmick/showpiece than actual cooking. You might as well have popped on a pinny and a pointy hat, gone in the kitchen and done it yourself! Never mind, you live and learn 😊🥩

My husband left his 160 quid sunglasses on a bench at jungle park a few years ago. A couple we spoke to said they had seen the guy with the camera that takes everyone’s photo pick them up. When we caught up with him he totally denied it.
Think that’s the longest vlog you have done and I have watched 3 and a half hours .
I knew that order was going to be a disaster. You should have stuck to your guns and just ordered a well done steak and told them so. A good restaurant should always cook a steak how the paying customer wants it. Nothing wrong with well-done steak. Don't let the staff dictate. Poor service. Don't like those places that offer a hot stone. What's the point.

I would have asked them to take away steak and cook rather than try cooking yourself and I thought that was a bit much them charging you for it seen as you tryed cooking on plate but burners kept going out and one was definately faulty , could have been a bit better with their customer service and you were so polite to them as well !!

We went to Qomo and the service was terrible! Worst in Tenerife and we been 6 times. Now as you say this a 100% write off for me! They didn't listen to a word you said and you try to be kind and say its your fault!! Mate it wasn't you and you are too kind.. it was all them! Service is key to any restaurant..after getting the food you ordered ofcourse! 😅

They shouldnt have charged for the steak meal. It wasnt your fault the burners werent working properly. You did tell the lady that needed it partly cooking, and you would cook the rest 🤷

At least the staff were nice but it was a shame they don't cook the steak for you, not keen on the idea of cooking myself but some people might like that. I probably would go back and try something else.but if not happy the second time I wouldn't go back.
Just watching you cooking the steak, you could you could do to ask them for two of them underneath so that you can spread it out a lot more but looks very good anyway

Great vlog tonight shame the steak wasn't refunded. So glad a subscriber was so observant and you got your glasses back. Some of them songs were just how the night was . You make me want to cry. Oh my lol
Disappointing that they chose to charge you for the most expensive item. Clearly the rest could be pretty much written off cost wise. They really should have taken the steak off the bill and charged you for the rest. Doesn’t scream the best in customer service.

You were very clear more than once about wanting the steak well done and you were exceptionally understanding about the whole thing, (even the cold vinegar mash!). However, made for a great stream, me and my other half were in stitches and shouting at the screen you’ve forgotten your glasses! 😂 Well done for a great live.
Can’t think of anything worse, having to do it yourself ! Had to laugh when you started separating the slices , trying to cook it more and it need quite a bit of cooking!!
@@vickyholding1365- tenerife restaurants are reluctant to cook steak well done because if it’s then over cooked and like shoe leather it’s wasted whereas if they serve it undercooked they can always take it back and cook it for a bit longer. What they should have done in this case is offered to finish it off for him in the kitchen. No excuse for cold mash though.

I was in Costa Adeje last week and went to a restaurant that were selling 1kg of Rib eye and a bottle of red for 54 euro. I was so disappointed. Spent most of the evening cutting away the fat. Wasn’t left with much meat at all. All fat and bone.

Maybe u could of asked them to cook it of for u as the burners keep going out. I'm sure they would. Last year we had a burner but it was in a different place with hot ashes and the fat dripped through so it was worth it. X

The worst steak i ever had was the aberdeen steak house absolutely vile my husband had a mix grill swimming in grease .i can only eat a steak well done ! Am sorry done give me a grill pan i shouldn't have to eat out to cook my own food 😂😂😂 you were very patient my husband gets embarrassed if i complain 😅

Great vlog and I could write so much but I won’t. I’d never go to a restaurant and cook my own food. Would I go back if I was you? No I don’t think I would especially as you have so many restaurants to choose from.
The place looks really nice, but that was a shame the way the stake arrived, they never cooked it long enough for you, but like you said Andrew, it can happen unfortunately , but still a fantastic vlog, and over 3 hours jeezo lol 👍❤️

I have to be fair and honest. I would have left if I experienced what you have.
Cold mash, raw meat. What happened to them checking the food before sending it out. In my opinion it's very below standard, borderline poor.
I understand the situation you are in, living local, not wanting to diss your local restaurants on your CZcams channel. I get it.
But I would have politely explained to the waiter that I was not happy and I was going to leave.
It's just lucky you had time to waste with interaction on your video, otherwise I think you may have got a little more wound up.
