Sonos does actually work with Airplay now
Another great video. Soooo looking forward to the next video about setting up a network!
I will be building a house soon and would love a breakdown of what you would recommend if you were doing everything from scratch.
I have the VSSL A1.X and A6.X in my house. I highly recommend them. I purchased mine from here and they gave me a decent discount and we're super helpful at RGAV Distribution 😊
Hi Alex, any good systems for streaming and putting a tv system round the full house?
Will you be doing a CCTV video 🤔
Yes very soon!
WOW OMG BRO HOW DUSS YOUR GARDEN LOOK THAT NICE
Dude, what is that epic yellow sofa you have?
Cheers for the content, I’m at the beginning of my smart home journey as we will shortly be purchasing so loving the advice.
Sonos is crap. I wish I hadn’t bought into it. You nailed it with the eco system.
What really annoyed me the other day was the speaker losing its memory and having to reconnect it. Then it wanted the location permission on my phone. I’m sick of spyware and apps invading my privacy. It’s a poxy speaker without the assistant.
I use UniFi in my house for my network hub.

Did you paint the sensor black in 7:48 or there is such version of it?
If you were building a house from scratch, how would you set the house up and what systems would you put in place?
Hi! Have you ever considered using a system like Loxone? Is there a reason why?
Great video as always guys!
Hello just wondering what you'd recommend if I don't have access to Broadband/ WIFI
Great vid. Quick question. How many hubs do you have? Can you use just one like hubitat or Home Assistant so you just have one dashboard for everything? Asking because I’m wanting to start my own smart home and trying to figure out everything, complete noob
Fantastic video Alex and Jed as always!! 😁
Can you recommend any wall switches to control dumb lights?
We're renovating our house and I want light switches that work like normal ones but when I want to turn them on/off through my phone it's possible as well.
The Aqara switches seen in the video do this. They are simple on/off switches so work with almost all light fittings.
Get into the Z-Wave ecosystem
Alex may I ask what small laptop you use ( At 9.51 into the clip )
That's his iPad
Smart home has become a hot trend. Nice video!!!
love the vids

How in the HELL are you casting the music on Spotify to SEVERAL different source AT THE SAME TIME?!?!

Getting a little pudgy m8 ...
Oh my god, the robot arms to push buttons is beyond a joke. I mean come on, man.
It's a good idea if you haven't got a eg: hive heating system or a Google nest, so he can automate his heating with some cheap switch bots instead of buying some overpriced heating controls which in my opinion don't always work.
Spoken by someone born into in the touch-screen era. Many homes are still outfitted with analogue heating controls like dials and switches. Conversions can cost hundreds of pounds/euros. these robot arms can save you an absolute fortune in heating bills.
@@retrorepublic19 I don't go in for gadgets, period. I don't have any “smart” stuff in my home, and I prefer buttons to touch screens.
