Not a problem! I have quite a few other MM songs on my suggestion list, so keep watching and tell your friends about me!

@@kerrymac1 will do. I would suggest Life like weeds. As bout as polished and complex as Modest Mouse gets in my opinion before they turn mainstream. but most things off of the first 4 albums would do.

Man that was one of my favorites by them too lol. I understand why you weren’t into it but i think the reason a lot of fans really like this one is because it’s really relatable. The way the chords in the song progress reminds me of the stages of grief too, which may just be me but i find it interesting. Good video though.
Also could you add “crushing sensation” by Young Guv to the queue friend?

Yeah. I'm glad you didn't unsubscribe because I didn't like it! That's one of the more interesting things I love about music is how it can touch so many people in so many different ways. Keep the suggestions coming and tell your friends about me!

@@kerrymac1 i like MM, but that song doesn't connect so much with me either. A more satisfying and interesting song of theirs is Parting of the Sensory from We Were Dead Before the Ship Ever Sank, or maybe Black Cadillacs from Good News for People Who Love Bad News.

Yeah, my family is from Appalachia and I was raised in the rural Midwest. This song always kind of resonated with me because I didn't really relate to many people growing up.
Moved the the West Coast as an adult, loved it, but ended up moving back home. This song is so nostalgic to me I can barely listen to it anymore.
(Also, you don't have to like every song. I definitely prefer honest reactions.)

Issac actually did his best to distance himself from the whole grunge thing he made sure to point out he was from a different part of Washington state

lol love this song but its 20 years old. I'd hardly call it newer music.

  • @themfnjessiah
    @themfnjessiah Před 4 lety +2

They're very much better in their angsty distorted or improved early albums. Issac has enough quotable metaphorical lyrics that are unique but their melancholic calling card style is more about a sense of irony or a layered complimentary skepticism that usually fans know once found will reward us with the message within intentional piles of satirical sounding songs that the lyracist is known for skewering humanity over. Usually just how counter intuitive humanity can be towards nature and prosperity in some relatable or psycho manic lisp verses. You're in good company I think we'd all agree it's more of a rabbit hole and the songs age like wine.
    My favorites
Modest Mouse Styrafoam Boots (it's all nice on ice)
    Ugly Cassanova- here's to now
Modest Mouse Parting of the sensory
Modest Mouse I've got it all (most)
Modest Mouse king rat *Heath Leger designed the video before dying*
Modest Mouse - Doin the cockroach
Select at random or drop them to wherever on your list. I just hope you enjoy the music as much as I have. Peace and Thank You

Thanks so much for the info and support! So far, I dig Modest Mouse. I think it is cool how they can have a variety of styles to appeal to a larger target of people. Smart move on their part! Thanks for the suggestions, though. I will put them on my ever-growing list and will get to them eventually!

This was great. Keep doing what your doing boss man! I know you’ve been doing a lot of modest mouse but is there any way you could do interstate 8 (part of their earlier stuff) or king rat( came out a bit later heath ledger actually was in the process of making the music video when he died)? Anyway I appreciate the good work keep it up

If you don't mind stepping into the Japanese rock scene I would recommend Band-Maid. I came across them around 3 years ago and they've been my favorite band since. Their 6th album will be released on the 11th. Watching them live is the way to go, and I'd suggest Moratorium czcams.com/video/N7BQCkUb4SI/video.html

One track that FPM does that is my favorite is their cover of "Steppin' Out" by Joe Jackson. It's so cool! Sounds like a song from The Sims video game. :)

@@kerrymac1 I've not played The Sims. It kind of reminds me of some bar or lounge music, relaxing and sipping on a whiskey or scotch.
