We loved our time on the Norwegian Cruise Lines Jade. We took advantage of the Mandara Spa, the NCL Jade Thermal Suite, and the NCL Jade premium restaurants Le Bistro, La Cucina, Moderno, and Cagneys Steakhouse.
During our 21 day cruise we had the NCL Jade drink package and ate in all of the NCL Jade restaurants.
If you haven't yet, you should try Norwegian Cruise Lines. Jade is one of our favorite boats. We stayed in the NCL Jade mini suite, but also saw in several other room on the NCL Jade. Balcony cabins are very similar, just a touch smaller.

I used to work on this ship in 2005 when it toured the Hawaiian Islands and was called the Pride of Hawaii.
I worked in the spa (I’m an esthetician) so I spent a lot of time in the thermal suites when I was off duty!
Seeing all of the dining locations,the theater,atrium,even though a lot of things look different,I can still see my old stomping grounds where I had the best time of my life with my ship family.

Thanks for putting together this great video. FYI, there is now an up-charge for Cagney's porterhouse steak $20 and for the filet & lobster $25. Disappointed with smoking in the Casino and outside on the water side of the ship.
This will be my go to video when things get tough, I love it.
I am a MdDS sufferer and I was long haul flight triggered 9 years ago. Last year in July my husband and I did a NCL Epic and NCL Jade back to back in the Mediterranean. It was the most relaxing 17 days I’ve had in the past 9 years, all my symptoms went away while I was on the ships. The Jade was my favourite. Thank you NCL for the mental time out. Yes, I’m booked again for 2021.

This is a great ship tour! I was scheduled to take my first cruise on the Sky a few weeks ago (obviously cancelled) and with all of the extra credits, we rebooked on the Jade in Feb 2021. This is super helpful to see what we have to look forward to!

Very nice tour of the Jace, I really enjoyed it. My husband and I will be doing a B/B New England cruise 14 days in September 2023. Never sailed the Jake but is very similar to the Gem.

Going on the Jade in October 2023. Have been on the SS Norway (1981), Getaway, Escape, and Encore. Looking forward to a smaller ship with only a few more passengers than the Norway.

Planning my first transatlantic cruise on the Jade. Since it will be in November, I expect we will encounter rough seas from Lisbon to Miami.
I wondered if they show a lot of movies at their indoor movie theater. On so many sea days, I could really jam on some popcorn, junior mints and a ridiculously large soda while watching a movie.

How how the trip from airport to cruise pier in Rome? Did you have package of transportation with NCL? Is it difficult to have transfer by oneself?

I just came home from being on the same cruise
This is such a great review! I was aboard this lovely "boat" for about a week, Singapore-Phuket-M'sia-Singapore, on 5th jan,2020. And it's such a shame I had recorded a whole bunch of footage, and unfortunately it all went down the digital bin. Man!, such a bummer. But nonetheless it's such a great quick review. :)

This ship was origionally The Pride of Hawaii. I was lucky to go on the maiden voyage from LA to San Francisco then to Hawaii for 7 tour of the islands. Wonderful trip! Guess that they didn't need two ships for Hawaii. From what I understand, there wasn't a casino on it because gambling was illegial in Hawaii so they brought it back to Germany, opened it up and put in a casino. Would love to sail but refuse to take the vaccine so imagine that my traveling days are over.
my husband and I also refused to take the jab so now we're ready to cruise again.. looking at this one for Israel and Greece
In the thermal suite , is there a bit tub in the combined area of only in the separate sides male\female?
Just the big pool in the combined area on the Jade.
Can you tell me if the casino had a craps table where you roll the dice?

I have been on the Norwegian Jade with my parents and it is years ago now ,only once but we loved it .It was mostly a very positive experience.I found the kids irritating at times , but you expect that if it’s a holiday where there’s children.But that’s not the reason why I would not go on any NCL cruises again .I am single and the reason is that sleeping in the same cabin as my parents on a sofa bed was way to cramped for them and me .Never again .If I had my own cabin I would have payed thought the nose for it .Out of interest I watched a video about travelling solo with NCL on u tube and it’s definitely not for me .I would hate it .I would be separated from my parents most of the time and anybody else that might be with them and if I am travelling in a family group I am not a solo traveler it’s unsuitable for me and not what I want .I would not have the same holiday or be entitled to the same things.I would only want to be on my own to sleep during the night time in my own cabin and then meet up with them for breakfast,during the day and the evening until I go back to my cabin for bed.But not in a isolated adult solo area thats that’s miles away from them .I don’t expect luxury, I would be more than happy to have the most basic cheapest cabin as long as it’s comfortable and clean without being charged a ridiculous price .As much as I loved the cruise unless NCL changes this I regret to say I will not be cruising with them again .But thats my only criticism it one of the best holidays I have ever had apart from the cabin situation .But it was a experience and I am glad I did it .I can’t comment on the refurbishment of Norwegian Jade as our cruise holiday was before it had been done.But I have seen u tube videos of it and it looks very impressive.

I truly feel that they should Not have smoking on the casino. With all the health alerts from the government, it is just as bad with second hand smoke. Having a handful of smokers stops non smokers from being able to enjoy the casino. I wish they would reevaluate smoking in the casino. Smoking us bad for everyone's health. Please think of all your guests. In most states, it is against the law to smoke in an enclosed area. Thank you for listening.
We just got off the Jade's 14 night cruise around the Caribbean and I can't warn people away from this cruise hard enough. Boring, poorly laid out, and the dining options are terrible.
I see you commenting on every ncl video, definitely a competitor.
