There is some information online about how the Ford Hybrid Engine/Transaxle works, but the information was primarily teardowns. I had a difficult time picturing what was happening during battery-only mode and hybrid battery-engine mode when I was driving. So, I decided to try to figure it out myself, with the help of a Forscan road test to confirm what I thought was happening.
