McFarlane and Hasbro have both cut way back on production runs due to losing so much money on clearanced peg warmers last year. Retail stores have also cut back on order quantities for the same reason. The days of just waiting for sold out preorders to show up on shelves are gone. Those Platinum Chase figures are gonna skyrocket on Ebay now.
Agree, pre-orders going out of stock seconds minutes of release WTF?! And new releases no stocks anywhere and after a few months they release in Ross? After a lot of the collectors purchased from eBay?! TF is happening with collecting?! Just frustrating, miss the days when you just go to stores and buy what you want or go online and item is in stock 😢

Walmart usually didn’t have anything anyway when trying to look. I ordered this from GameStop. I still stop in Best Buy sometimes. I like having the dvd or blu ray of movies. Streaming is like renting and they can take it down whenever they want to.

He's great overall, that headsculpt is amazing, all the accessories they could have given him though. , An open umbrella, head with no hat, a penguin etc
I imagine Darkseid will be a unicorn much like Wonder Woman. A well done figure at a great price point will probably never be in stock. Most other stuff seems to come into stock on Amazon at odd hours. I see a lot of stuff not easy to find show up for preorder or available at like 2:30 AM and then sell out.

I wanted the standard and had to pay 55 bucks on eBay for it since it sold out so fast. Shouldn't be this hard to get mainstay characters that everyone knows.

All points in the rant warranted and then some. McFarlane has some serious genius in some arenas, then makes some seriously head-scratching decisions at times. As far as people saying Hasbro and McFarlane have "cut back" so that's why pre-orders are selling out...ummm...they are PRE-orders. The "cut back" element might impact non-pre-orders certainly, but Todd even did a preorder limit on his version of a kickstarter! These folks are either shooting themselves in the foot and/or there are factors at work that make no sense that force their hand.
Lol.... All 7 of my Walmarts still have Mcfarlane...they just moved it to the next isle away from Legends fir some reason...Seen the Batman and Robin wave.. Page Punchers Superman wave... Plastic man Wave ...So kindly disagree... Don't think Walmart will stop carrying Mcfarlane.... Just because Darkseid... It is Darkside by the way because Kirby created it and thats what he called him...Is sold iut doesn't mean people won't have a chance to buy...him....If you have any patience eventually he will be everywhere.... 💀
2 local Walmarts did resets and DC multiverse isn't anywhere to be found. Same with GI Joe classified. Darkseid is Bane all over again. Who is still sitting at 150 on EBay. Thankfully is coming again in a 2 pack. I have no doubt in my mind a Man skirt Darkseid will be in a 2 pack with Superman a Year from now. Also I hope I am wrong about Walmart. I'll have an update in a few weeks as I deliver these 3 time a week.

Can’t describe how happy I was when I found this wave last week, definitely recommend Captain Boomerang. That figure is damn near perfect.
