we have molds for ledges too. so you don't have to use your fingerboard-mold for that :D
Could you use a router to cut the board with the shaper? Just using one side of the shaper to hold the board down?

thank you :) i know that it seems expensive at the first view. but please think about again: you ca build a loot high quality boards out of it! usually a good boards costs 20-30€ (or even more). that's the money worth after making your third board ;)

does the new beginner kit have the outline inside the mold (not something I would want)? i bought a custom shape mold about two years ago and wanted to try a new configuration since I didn't like the one i configured then :)

yes, the boards made with our mold works 100% with Blackriver trucks :)

Hey i love u guys and im a big fan but I have one question, I saw that on your guy’s site there was no out line on the mold so is it something u changed or I can’t see it .
Hi, that is correct. the outline has been deleted on the newest version of all of our Molds and there is a good reason for. EVERY kit comes now with a Shaper. And you can draw the outline much better with this shaper. AND the best, since the mold has no outline any more, you can use that mold with a loooot of different shapers. We have now a bunch of new shapers like boxy or old school or different widths.
So overall it a very good thing that the outline has been deleted. :)

when sanding the sides of the deck, does the deck holder/shaper get messed up???
Hi, this depends on how hard you are using the shaper. The best way is to use the shaper for drawing the outline and then cut pretty close to the line. so at the end you are sanding just the last mm when the board is in the shaper. :) Some customers use the shaper for 100 of boards... and they can be ordered afterwards at any time (in case it gets damaged over time)

Is the graphics a special material or just paper with special clearcoat
our example is just a normal paper (80gr/m²). Because this is the easiest way for EVERYONE to create by graphics by themselves. and the result is really awesome :)
what clear coat do you use?
i use standard clear coat for wood. but you can use quite every clear coat out there.... :)
Can you explain the custom molds of your site?
Cory Moncus what exactly do you want to know? You can design the custom mold on the website by using the mold configurator. Then buy the custom mold in the shop and send us your mold configuration as screenshot via email. We produce your mold according to your design!

you can use a 1,6 mm or 1,5 mm drill bit :)

TJ Esseilyyou can use a standard drill bit like 4 or 5 mm or the best way is to use a countersink:)

What paper is ur graphic on? standard printing paper or another sort of "special" paper?
actually its standard printing paper, which works great. The good point is that everybody can do this by themselves.... just print out your own logos or graphics at home and make your unique boards.
But we are working on something else regarding graphics....

can i use a vice instead of nuts and bolts?
if u use not to much pressure, than this is fine. what is your idea behind the vice instead of the screws (which work awesome)? :)
how long should I keep it in the mold?
i recommend to let it cure for 24hours. Once you are familiar with the process and the right amount of glue, you could decrease that down to 12hours or less. But please get used to the process first and see some good results before yo decrease curing time :) Cheers

If you are ordering a custom, how long does creating and shipping take?
Hi, a custom mold needs usually 2-3 days. (Sometimes up to 4-5 days). Shipping depends on were you live on the planet :) within Europe 5-10 days for example

Usually its 10-15 days to the US, but with actual Covid19 situation it could be longer in some cases. But it got better recently. So I guess it gets back to the normal shipping times. Hope that helps :)

how long is the drying time?
Hi Alejandro, this depends on the amount of glue you use. If you are new to board making, then you probably using a bit too much glue, so i recommend to let the boards dry overnight for your first couple boards. its a 1,5 mm drill bit (metric-drill-bit). If you are in the USA its maybe a 1,6mm (inch-drill-bit). Both work fine :)

Usually you don’t need a countersink on the backside. Just sanding is enough. But if you prefer you can add that :)

@@ethan._buii this line has been removed a year ago to give the opportunity to make differentiation board shapes. We have also different shapers styles in the shop which matches the BeginnerMold :)
