Great camera placement behind the copilot's seat. Nice view out those big windows. Go Captain!
Thanks Rico
I was a Deputy US Marshal in Puerto Rico, and for about three years we chartered a Caravan to transport inmates back and forth St Thomas and St Croix twice a week. I have to say that I loved that assignment. The aircraft was a joy to fly in. The contract specified that there had to be two pilots in the cockpit all the time-good old days. Stay safe, Captain.
The skies looked a lot better than they did the evening before this flight. Looks like the owner takes really good care of that plane. Have a great week Jim!
Best aviation channel on CZcams!
This will bring back some memories... 6 years flying the Caravan and the aircraft treated me very well.
Cessna’s one-ton pickup. Love the Caravan vids, sir. Thank you.
Thanks Mitch. I love flying it. Its a Cessna 172 on steroids.
Boy, that's pretty countryside on that approach!
Great flight sir. Thank you for flying us with your. I love your aircraft. God bless you!
such a beautiful aircraft, thank you!
All Caravan flights are most interesting ..the views are outstanding ...thank you for sharing.
Great flight and great video. Thank you!
Hi Mr Captmoonbeam, the Caravan is still my favorite airplane you fly.
Thank you very much for continuing to record and share content. Always enjoy your videos!
Quality of your videos is awesome.
Airplane? What airplane? Look at that Vette!!! 😄
love the start up sequence
Glad you’re back!
Thanks for your videos. They help me get back into the cockpit. Left flying in 1988, 1,700 hours, but couldn't find a job flying that paid a liveable wage and after flying night freight in questionable aircraft, I found there wasn't much future in it for me. My, have times changed. If I ever had a chance, I would like to fly that Cessna Caravan. Fly safe!
Great video Captain, please keep them coming!
I love the camera placement as well and that shirt screams summer in St. Louis. Thanks for another great production!
Love the hibiscus aloha shirt! You make it look so easy. The Caravan is one of my favorite turbo props. Looking forward to more of your vids! 🤙
Yes, yes, yes … love these vlogs!
I'm a CFII at KJEF. You pulled right up to the FBO I work at. :)
Have ALWAYS enjoyed flying with you.
Happy to see you posting again sir! My YT feed has desperately missed your videos!

Nice easy, sunny flight...thx
Love your shirt! Oh and the flying is cool too 😀
Thanks for the ride! Agree with everyone on camera placement, really nice. Tell the viewers they should be a subscriber and not a stowaway ha-ha. Be well.
What a difference a day makes Jim! Much more pleasant conditions for this one (other than the bumps). All the best.
Very professional video. Very entertaining
Always great content!
Thanks.😎
Awesome video Sir. Thanks!
Thanks Mitch.
Hope you guys get spared the massive flooding happening here in NW Iowa after areas north of here saw 18" (half a meter for the metric folks) of rain in a 3 day span.
Much better weather today.
Been a minute!!! Good to see your vids again!
Thanks Golf. Took me a couple of minutes but, I think I'm getting back into the swing of it.
Love the shirt
Ive been doing some of your flights in Flight Sim, Ill be doing this one tonight!
Hi Spartan. I used to do flight sim years ago. absolutely loved it.
Would it be possible to add a camera that shows the rudder usage? It would be interesting to see how much input you're applying on takeoffs and especially landings. Thank you.
Nice guy , nice aircraft, nice weather 🎉🎉 Quick question , what power settings do you use when climbing ? Thanks
Hey Jim, well that was a smooth flight! There is a CZcams video about a Kodiak 100 airplane the owner has had a lot of problems i.e. cracked window in flight, peeling paint, custom arm rest paint peeling engine problems, manufacture warranty service is non-existent, there is a customer service number that always picks up but offer ways the owner could take care of his own problems with the plane instead of the warranty service...just numerous problems on a brand-new plane... does the Caravan have problems like that?
👍
Any way to get you dropping the 'to' and 'for' words on the radio, reserving those strictly as 'two' and 'four' ...? Otherwise, your videos are eminently watchable.
…great morning to fly… if you ever need balast…..
Why is the safety belt not "active" ? Always great vids Capt - love your channel, many thanks.
Thanks Booysen. I didn't realize it at the time but. I had accidently twisted it under the headrest so it wasn't retracting. Corrected it after engine shutdown.
Nice flight! What's with the seat belt not retracting - fixed length?
I've been watching your fabulous vids for years sir. Love them.
You should have filmed the big storm arriving as you escaped in Nick of time!
I noticed a couple of times in this vid you replied to ATC by saying "... for One Quebec"
But it comes across as "Four One Quebec" as in N41Q.
I looked it up and N41Q hasn't been used since 2020. It was on a Quickie light plane.
ATC knows you're N1Q but I wonder if saying "... for One Quebec" may get muddled one day.
Just a thought!
Best from me Down Under in Middle Earth!
Shoulder harness looks loose - noticed this on your last video as well? is it "fixed" or retracting like a normal seatbelt?
Great video on the Grand Caravan! Ever fly a Kodiak? If so, opinions on quality, preference? Caravan vs Kodiak?
What's with the shoulder harness!
What makes the sweet spot for the Caravan?
This is a different caravan from the previous short caravan with no cargo pod. Right?
Absolutely right.
I noticed on your previous flight and this one as well that there is something shiny on your prop about halfway up. What is causing it? Paint off the prop or something else?
If you are referring to the “circle” of white from the cockpit looking forward…… those are paint stripes that McCauley puts on each blade. Not sure why, I have it as well.
Do you have a license for that shirt?!
Why are you not back in jets?
Wow Capt I would love to fly around with ya over ST.Louis SR..is that possible
Hi Daron. Unfortunately, It's not my plane. I'm just the hired help.(Limo Driver)
@@captmoonbeam gotcha Capt
You have TKS on 1Q?
i recommend not raising the nose wheel so high when towing just raise the plate only couple inches to just barely clear the ground. well that's how i was taught to tow planes.
That is perfectly acceptable for tugging the Caravan. Captain knows what he’s doing.
