I’ve subscribed now. 😊This is an ORIGINAL written by Forestella with a small lyric contribution by the Dutch composer they contracted , Valensia Clarkson, who is a Queen devotee living in Spain .,hence all the Spanish place names and hence his inclusion in lyric credit. FORESTELLA’s brief when they approached composer was that they wanted his known influence by Queen to be featured in his composition of the music for this masterpiece. There was much back and forth between the Forestella members and Valensia, with Forestella imparting their concept to him and the vision they had in mind for this rockopera. There is an interview on You Tube with Valensia discussing the daunting task presented to him. This is the 2nd in a trilogy …the first is: Save Our Lives and has chapters 1 to 3 with 4-6 in Utopia. The 3rd is not released yet. FORESTELLA’s advice is that you need to watch this video at least 3 to 4 times😅…because each viewing reveals more detail and of course being able to read and understand the fast-paced lyrics will also help. They have an amazing live stage performance of Utopia on MBC I believe? Someone please correct me if I’m mistaken. There is another music video WHITE NIGHT which is just beautiful and was constructed from two concert performances last year. Some consider it the 3rd instalment, but the group hinted otherwise. 2023 was a super hectic year as they prepared for their bass singer’s enlistment in the military.
Forestella wanted a "rock opera" with an operatic part like in "Bohemian Rhapsody" and commissioned Valensia Clarkson, a Dutch multi-talent who was heavily influenced by "Queen", to compose it. The vocalization comes from FORESTELLA himself (director: Kang HyungHo) and in coordination with Valensia. Matching vocalization to the composition was a very long and difficult but very successful process. Of course FORESTELLA also performs this song itself, but this visually stunning video is really impressive. You simply have to see it several times. Truly an audiovisual masterpiece and I really hope there is another collaboration between Valensia and FORESTELLA.

Utopia" is part II of a planned trilogy and part I is "Save Our Lives". Also a masterpiece and a MUST. The first part is about the creation of our earth and you are right in "Utopia" about the idealized, ruthless way of life of our society: the resulting consequences for nature and therefore also for us. A very difficult song with a very deep message that gets better and better the more you listen to it.

In the end of Save our lives- their original song as well, previous of Utopia, you can see the World Tree was growing up. That concept of world tree of life is from Nordic myth's Yggdrasill so their concept and story is also a crossover of the biblical metaphors and nordic mythical symbols.. and they took the 4 elements idea of Aristotle in the Save our lives like each of Forestella is representing an element like the Fire, the Water, the Air and the Earth. Interestingly, their vocal ranges fit the elements for each too. We can just guess and imagine stories, I think we can get everything clearer when the 3rd part is released. The composer is a Dutch named Valensia who lives in Valéncia in Spain. Forestella requested him to make an operatic part like Bohemian Rhapsody as Valensia was so strongly influenced by Queen, like to have made Queen tribute album himself. Actually his first demo version of Utopia was named Valéncia, like Barcelona by Freddie Mercury and Monserrat Caballé, a hymn for Valencia. They had more than 17K takes and used more than 400 tracks for this one song. It took more than 2 months of recording as far as they said. You missed the first song of the World tree trilogy. The sequence is 1: “ Save our lives” which has Acts 1-3 2: “ Utopia” Acts 4- 6 The last part of the trilogy has not been done yet. But “White night” has a similar theme. We are still waiting for Acts 7-9.
Thanks for reacting to one of their great originals. The audio was a much better compromise - you edited the split second jumps very well overall and I'm sure it's difficult. Like some other reactors you missed the tail end of this video. Quite often Forestella puts in fake endings (see Save Our Lives and Sound Of Silence for example) which can catch reactors out. Other good originals include Save Our Lives (the first in the Utopia/Tree Of Life trilogy), White Night, Snow Globe and Chagall's Dream. Possibly Magic Castle is an original. Kool is their foray into KPop, and unsurprisingly is different to a "typical" Forestella original (if such exists).
