Who determined which books were “inspired” to be part of the Canon, and why or how can that person(s) determine that other writings are or are not relevant to the church? We find Phoebe’s story recounted in just two Bible verses: Romans 16:1-2 (NIV): “I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae. I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of his people and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been the benefactor of many people, including me.” I don't see many SEXUAL assaults by women pastors as we do men. Phoebe, was called a deacon of the church. She had a position in the church.

The Bible also says “Deacons are to have one wife” in 1 Tim 3:12. Meaning leaders of the church are to have one wife. Men have wives. Not women. Scripturally speaking anyway. Some people don’t like to bring this up because of the implication that non-leaders of the church had and are able to have multiple wives. But I think it’s important because we are literally given guidelines of how leaders of the church are to fit the criteria, and this is part of the criteria.

Is is that people do not want to verify the word by studying for themselves.....do they just believe whatever is vocalized from the pulpit?? Not everyone grasps Gods word right off the bat. It isn't your job to make anyone grasp the word of God quicker than God's time. Key word: HIS time. Thankfully because of the Holy Spirit, we are endowed with that particular knowledge. God can give us knowledge and He will tell us that we have been endowed with a brain that He wants us to use, in order to discern what is scripture and what is not. I'm about to get alot of heat from this community, but I'll just respond to your "What has the Democratic Party done for Black people?"; and your pro Republican rhetoric. The issue of abortion is extremely contentious. Many Christians and non Christians differ on views as it relates to when a "life" is a "life" that is sovereign and deserves protection. Understandably, if you believe life begins at Conception, and are fundamentally anti abortion; then that is the only reason I can see you being pro Republican. Outside of that the Democratic Party is superior to the Republican party in every way: 1. Economics. For example, the Democratic Party seeks to: Expand Social Security and safety net programs. Increase top capital gains tax and dividend tax rates to above 28%. Cut taxes for the working and middle classes as well as small businesses. Change tax rules to not encourage shipping jobs overseas. Increase federal and state minimum wages. Modernize and expand access to public education and provide universal preschool education. Support the goal of universal health care through a public health insurance option or expanding Medicare/Medicaid. Republicans on the other hand work towards: De-regulating free markets. This allows for easier monopoly by corporate entities, and greater exploitation of working class people (which includes working class black people). Opposing higher taxes for Rich people; eventhough it will benefit working class people. Opposing Welfare, eventhough this provides monetary resource to disenfranchised people (including black people) Opposing the rise of minimum wage. Despite the fact that it would help poor people (once along the government simultaneously forces businesses to not raise prices on items, etc). 2. Social Policy. For example, the Democratic policy seeks to: Uphold voting rights, and easy access voting. (Helps disenfranchised people to have a better chance to vote) Support gun background checks and stricter gun laws (which help to prevent 'demented' people, criminals, etc from getting guns legally) Support Civil Rights. This includes working towards Black people being treated as equal; but also allowing them to have policies that help them due to being disenfranchised, like Affirmative action. Reform the immigration system and allow for a pathway to citizenship. (This helps immigrants of all races, including black people). The Republican party on the other hand: Famously against Affirmative action (which hurts disenfranchised black people) Famously wish to reduce gun control (which hurts everyone; since it allowed for any demented, or person with a criminal past can get a gun) Keep in mind America has the largest amount of gun violence across the developed nations. The Republicans were pushing bills which were largely centered around limiting mail-in voting, strengthening voter ID laws, shortening early voting, eliminating automatic and same-day voter registration, curbing the use of ballot drop boxes, and allowing for increased purging of voter rolls. (This hurts disenfranchised black people). With all of this being said, if your reasoning that the Republican party is superior to the Democratic in helping black people is abortion; I can't argue on that because that becomes a debate over "what is life" etc. However, outside of that, the Democratic Party runs laps around the Republican party in helping black people.

Meaning leaders of the church are to have one wife. Men have wives. Not women. Scripturally speaking anyway.
Some people don’t like to bring this up because of the implication that non-leaders of the church had and are able to have multiple wives. But I think it’s important because we are literally given guidelines of how leaders of the church are to fit the criteria, and this is part of the criteria.

Not everyone grasps Gods word right off the bat. It isn't your job to make anyone grasp the word of God quicker than God's time. Key word: HIS time. Thankfully because of the Holy Spirit, we are endowed with that particular knowledge. God can give us knowledge and He will tell us that we have been endowed with a brain that He wants us to use, in order to discern what is scripture and what is not. I'm about to get alot of heat from this community, but I'll just respond to your "What has the Democratic Party done for Black people?"; and your pro Republican rhetoric.
The issue of abortion is extremely contentious. Many Christians and non Christians differ on views as it relates to when a "life" is a "life" that is sovereign and deserves protection. Understandably, if you believe life begins at Conception, and are fundamentally anti abortion; then that is the only reason I can see you being pro Republican.
Outside of that the Democratic Party is superior to the Republican party in every way:
1. Economics. For example, the Democratic Party seeks to:
Expand Social Security and safety net programs.
Increase top capital gains tax and dividend tax rates to above 28%.
Cut taxes for the working and middle classes as well as small businesses.
Change tax rules to not encourage shipping jobs overseas.
Increase federal and state minimum wages.
Modernize and expand access to public education and provide universal preschool education.
Support the goal of universal health care through a public health insurance option or expanding Medicare/Medicaid.
Republicans on the other hand work towards:
De-regulating free markets. This allows for easier monopoly by corporate entities, and greater exploitation of working class people (which includes working class black people).
Opposing higher taxes for Rich people; eventhough it will benefit working class people.
Opposing Welfare, eventhough this provides monetary resource to disenfranchised people (including black people)
Opposing the rise of minimum wage. Despite the fact that it would help poor people (once along the government simultaneously forces businesses to not raise prices on items, etc).
2. Social Policy. For example, the Democratic policy seeks to:
Uphold voting rights, and easy access voting. (Helps disenfranchised people to have a better chance to vote)
Support gun background checks and stricter gun laws (which help to prevent 'demented' people, criminals, etc from getting guns legally)
Support Civil Rights. This includes working towards Black people being treated as equal; but also allowing them to have policies that help them due to being disenfranchised, like Affirmative action.
Reform the immigration system and allow for a pathway to citizenship. (This helps immigrants of all races, including black people).
The Republican party on the other hand:
Famously against Affirmative action (which hurts disenfranchised black people)
Famously wish to reduce gun control (which hurts everyone; since it allowed for any demented, or person with a criminal past can get a gun) Keep in mind America has the largest amount of gun violence across the developed nations.
The Republicans were pushing bills which were largely centered around limiting mail-in voting, strengthening voter ID laws, shortening early voting, eliminating automatic and same-day voter registration, curbing the use of ballot drop boxes, and allowing for increased purging of voter rolls. (This hurts disenfranchised black people).
With all of this being said, if your reasoning that the Republican party is superior to the Democratic in helping black people is abortion; I can't argue on that because that becomes a debate over "what is life" etc. However, outside of that, the Democratic Party runs laps around the Republican party in helping black people.
