J'ai servi en tant que sous off de carrière au 9eme RCP a Toulouse.Menbre de plusieurs équipes de sport de mon Régiment ( volley rugby foot et pentathlon) le 126 a toujours été un adversaire coriace.a ma première osmose en 1968 j'ai demandé le 126 a Brive.j'ai été affecté à Verdun.a la deuxième osmose après l'ETAP j'ai eu droit a Paris..A/Chef chef de section tout le temps sur le terrain j'ai préféré prendre la retraite. Gros regret de ne pas avoir servi dans ce beau Régiment.🇨🇵 👍
Qlf il s’agit de s’engager en tant que volontaire et non en actif,tu gardes ta vie civil et genre les weekend tu va au régiment t’entraîner et au période de vacance tu vas faire vigipirate ou planton (garde au régiment)

The slow marching pace is a remnant of the Napoleonic armies of France. The 1st Legion Etranger was made up of foriegners who had fought for Napoleon and had settled in France.
these soldiers are by no means from the Foreign Legion but from the 126th Infantry Regiment. Only the Pioneers of the Foreign Legion carry axes for ceremonies and sometimes also firefighters

Ils se servent de nombre de pas pour garder le rythme de la chanson. Si tu regardes bien des qu'ils commencent une phrase ils viennent de poser un pied à terre

Utter bollocks and very disresectful to the soldiers of France. They faced an army using tactics that had been divised in secret using equipment specifically for the invasion. A new kind of war. The bravery of those soldiers should never be questioned. And I'm British but have great respect for the French army.
