Listening to Matt's unwavering focus on the new user experience I'm confident in the trajectory of Splinterlands, we've got huge potential here to reclaim one of the top spots in the Web 3 space! Right now the team is still dealing with an array of issues that's stifled the onboarding experience which is having to be deconstructed piece by piece and refortified while the airplane is in flight. I get that the existing player base is experiencing the whole range of emotions that comes with a typical market cycle, it's brutal lets be honest, at the end of the day the game is still fun and I believe the perfect storm is still on the horizon, the progress being made is palpable. I'm going to see this through with Matt and his team, I'm also thankful we have a leader with the chin of a heavy weight prize fighter. Lets go!!
He is doggshit and slowrugged us for years.. he is lucky he has HIVE so he can keep rugging everyone, ask any tech expert from Africa or India they can do everything in couple months what Splinterlands took 4-5 years , you can invest 100$ in SPS right now and destroy 2-3years of player grind. I have Assets in this ''Game'' I don't speak from emotional bear market I am in multiple project I speak about the most doggshit management I have ever seen it's like Joe Biden Administration
Huge potential! Couldn't agree more. We're trying to solve so many things at once and it's all gonna take time. We're 6 months into this new approach and we've already seen some huge changes - I'm confident we'll get there. And yes, I still love playing this game every single day! Finally MATT is actually doing the NPE and finally making the ecosystem decentralize. If I was the CEO this would be my TOP priority. But everything looks good long term. Just let them cook and we will be smooth sailing once the bull run for WEB3 games start.
Just let 'em cook! I generally agree that we are moving in the right direction and, more importantly, considering the right things at this point in time. I just hope that we're able to deliver on all this stuff in time & secure ourselves a top tier Web3 marketer to take us to the next level. Cheers Riftsummoner!

NPE is definitely the key. For sure, since CP is not a thing anymore, offering them to earn forever soulbound accounts without the ability to earn since they don't have spellbook/SPS makes total sense.
Ideally, the NPE process can take like 6 months - a year to fully complete.
New games take time to ramp up and complete. Keep new players engaged and playing day in and day out. Give daily & checkin rewards again that are soulbound.
Ranked is the end game, not the beginning.
"Ranked is the end game, not the beginning" - this is spot on. We need supporting game modes that allow for inconsequential fun. We need a fun and immersive experience that doesn't revolve around winning SPS via ranked. This was the first time (as far as I know) that Matt has so openly embraced the idea for the Kitchen Table Game Mode for All that we've talked about so many times at TPG and THAT is a key missing ingredient imo. I'd love to see one of the devs (Sylar?!) take the opportunity and run with it. Cheers Daethical!

The card dumping during the promo event is so easily fixable --> don't distribute the cards until the event is done - there I've completely fixed it for ya ;-) You don't have to thank me :P
Ha! GBG. So simple! That would just kick the can down the road and dumping prices would still happen - so long as the leaderboard as it currently exists continues, we'll see this behavior. I'm hopeful we see some curveballs get thrown at us to mix it up! Cheers hombre! 😎
@@thepeoplesguildspl well, the major portion of the card dumping occurs during the fight for the LB as people just cycle through the cards. There will still be dumping after the fact for sure as fighting for a LB involves buying more than you actually need but still it will be a lot less than what we had during the last promo event.
Sitting at the beach and listening catefully. Thinking about certain thing which is fine balance needed to be found between champion player and casual player. Where exactly team need to place that line so game can have any meaning to players. Rewards for both lowest and highest level of players are so low that highest level of players demand “protection” of their investment and lowest level of players(bots) benefit of that protection. Everything in between is screwed. Now that majority of bots left everyone fall in to same category of screwed ppl.
Hence situation is far from good how people cant stop pating Matt’s back and let his work explain it for him. Aggroed is not excluded from statement above.
I completely agree that we've gotta change the story for the middle of the road folks. The casual players / investors were hit hardest with a lot of the changes we've seen thus far this year and we need to get back to supporting that group. That's the sweet spot imo. Let's hope we see Matt's vision come to fruition and THEN the real pats on the back from guys like you will be warranted. Cheers Nikola! 😎

Building validators is chasing another lost cause just because the team "sold" it to burn SPS & vouchers.
SPS is primarily a governance token and one that the team is heavily distributing as rewards, and yet the team claim has no responsibility for. No one new is going to FOMO into a governance token where the team started yet claim it's the DAO's responsibility. The team also distributed an extra 12-13m to their "advisors" without informing the DAO/community. If it's belongs to the DAO, not "unallocated"/team tokens, who gave the team the rights to distribute those tokens without submitting a proposal?
It's clear that SPS is not moving off HIVE and onto a chain of it's own, EVM or not. So why build up the validators? Plenty of tokens were listed on T1 exchanges recently without validators so long distribution is spread out/"decentralized" and not primarily held by the team to manipulate prices.
If pro-HIVE developers like Wolf moved off HIVE for liquidity, why is the team still sticking around and hoping that the game brings more users to HIVE in exchange for funds via DHF? it's merely a spray and pray approach.
It's a shame that we've lost so many OG's (and more recent players) throughout the last year in the wake of all of these changes. I wouldn't be so quick to say that SPS is forever bound to Hive, by the way - somewhere in the Wolf discussion there was a comment that made me think leaving Hive could be a very real future opportunity. If the DHF fails to support the project, why wouldn't we entertain offers from other chains? I'm all for it. But you're absolutely right - Wolf leaving Hive, despite being a massive Hive supporter, speaks volumes around his faith in the chain's abilities to grow its gaming influence in the space (and perhaps wider reaching than just gaming). Either way, I see lots of silver linings in the current situation - and I'm here for it. Good to see ya still hanging around, Andrew!

I couldn't agree more. Not sure if us here at TPG and on this episode are being lumped into your comment, but there's plenty that we push back on and offer alternative solution to. I'd love to see a Gaming Panel created that helps to streamline & prioritize feedback for the team to focus on. Cheers Lawrence!

Oh, come on. Even for the saltiest of the bunch this isn't a fair assessment. I understand all the frustration but Matt very clearly cares deeply about delivering for the community. We may not agree with all of his decisions (speaking about us here at TPG), but all of our goals are aligned. Cheer Vladradek!
We will continue to have issues until Matt takes responsibility for his actions. Stop saying stuff like bogged down with things. That's your job. And they haven't met a deadline yet. So he needs to apologize and say we are working on it.
There's a ton happening that we just have yet to see come to fruition. My hope is that we're focusing on the right things that will make an impact to a.) attract new players and b.) keep them here. Guess we'll just have to wait and see! I expect a big TH next week. Good to see ya, Horus!
