This time, I visited the "Suiryoku Bonsai Exhibition" held at Ueno Green Plaza in Ueno, Tokyo.
During this time of year when bonsai trees are at their most beautiful, I was able to see some truly magnificent specimens.
From the moment I entered the venue, I was greeted by a national treasure-class bonsai, followed by masterpieces from renowned teachers, seasonal works, and vibrant green bonsai that exuded life and filled me with excitement.
I am grateful for the existence of places that promote the beauty of bonsai. Ueno Green Plaza is the headquarters of the Bonsai Cooperative Union and regularly hosts various events, exhibitions, and a permanent bonsai shop.
The location is also very convenient, being close to Ueno Park, Ueno Zoo, and Ikenohata Gate, so please stop by if you are ever sightseeing in Tokyo.
I wish I could share this live feeling with you.
