@@sterlingnimbus1 Soul Calibur 6 (Soul Calibur 7) needs to be In The Original Timeline only where Heishiroe Mitsurugi is 46 Years Old without having Stubbles or anything on his Face
On The Arcade Version & Playstation 1 and Xbox 160 Version where Heishiroe Mitsurugi can already be Voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa while Wataru Takagi Voicing Hwang Sung Kyung on both Versions
The theme at 0:50....so heroic and soulful, they basically re-used it in the Soul Calibur games to come but this original theme of Mitsurugi has such unmatched dramatic power.
The chord progression on that part is actually very commonly used in "epic" sounding music. Not that it's a bad thing. It does make Mitsurugi's themes have a distinct sound compared to the rest of the character/stage themes.
I remember playing this game for the first time, I choose Mitsurugi by fucking accident, then fought Voldo, beat him, then I was going against another Mitsurugi. We both win 2 rounds, the machine was programed to last 3 for some reason which made the game feel different by that fact alone. I ended up losing the third round when CPU Mitsurugi used the grab in which he jumps and lands on the othe side of the player while cutting him during the jump, and that happend when the music was at his highest point, it was the most amazing thing that I had ever seen on a video game, let alone on a Arcade machine!
I miss young Mitsurugi, he was badass and fought way faster than he does now...Namco...why did you have to nerf him? His theme went well with how aggressive his playstyle was too
@@Countmacula666 true. But the character creation of BD, 5 and six were fine. And i'ld argue that BD was a fine addition to the series as well. VI ain't that bad. Cut the reversal edge, add some good music and expand on arcade, and we have a fine SC addition. Far superior to V. I hate the gameplay of 5. The slowest game in the series
0:50 to 1:13 This part of the music gets used in several Soul Series games, and it's always something to do with Mitsurugi - it is even played during both his endings in Soul Blade. It's essentially his theme, I would say. Soundtracks will often use the same notes in different tracks, but play them differently in order to show that the tracks are related in someway (which I love.)
I like Mitsurugi because he shares a lot of common traits to a Japanese comic hero but also much more. And the fact that he doesn't have the typical name of Ryu, Ryo, Jin, or something like that
Mitsurugi and Hwang were my two all time favorites Characters from Soul, these two were truly the Ryu and Ken of the Soul Calibur world... Hwang and Mitsurugi were easier matched.... Mitsurugi and Hwang were the perfect rivals in Soul.
In every game Mitsurugi is voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa like Hwang (Hwang appears in this game Soulcalibur I, III and VI) In the PlayStation version of this game they are both voiced by Wataru Takagi (Morikawa san voices Hwang and Mitsurugi in the original arcade of Soul Blade) Oratta Hahahahaha

You're so damn right. You remember the little fight they had at the intro cutscene? That was my first and favorite videogame, and I loved (I love) every single bit it has to offer.
wow all the songs in Soul Blade are awesome!! Calibur series has nothing to what Soul Blade has. Too bad namco treats soul blade as a forgotten game to the series cause it was absolutely amazing!
nooo my freind he did a huge one indeed the first game he is more badass and humble as he looks for a weapon that can destroy the rifle clan cuz they killed his family then in sc 3 and 4 he is a cocky and unmerciful he looks for ppl who are stronger then him he no longer fears the rifle and he searches the earth for someone stronger then him
One of the reasons why he's awesome is that every one of his themes in every Soul Edge/Calibur game have the exact same musical build up in the middle of the song. -> 0:50 You should post each theme of him compare.
You're right, but you're wrong. As a Soul Calibur veteran (I have all the games) I can assure you that Mitsurugi's Soul Calibur IV theme was Innocent Vision. He shared the stage with Setsuka and Yoshimitsu, they also shared stage and theme in Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny, the same song title except it was closer to Ephemeral Dream. Ephemeral Dream was Setsuka's theme in Soul Calibur III (the game you're talking about), in which Mitsurugi's theme was "The Blade Seeker".
You would think he would be because he LOOKS like a main protagonist, but after Soul Edge they basically made Siegfried the main character for the duration of the Soul Series.
Mitsurugi's "Khan Super Session" version of his theme is 1000x better than this in my opinion... More cultural & fits his character sooooooooooo much better
This game had two covers, right? In one there is Mitsurugi being a badass and in other there is Voldo being, well, Voldo. Is there any difference besides the cover? Or they are the covers for America and Europe?
Heishiroe Mitsurugi can have Noshima Island as a Separated New Stage on Soul Calibur 4 (Soul Calibur 5) followed by Noshima Castle in Soul Calibur 5 (Soul Calibur 6) & Setouchi for Soul Calibur 6 (Soul Calibur 7) and don't forget about Inundated Castle Separate New Stage for Soul Calibur 2 (Soul Calibur 3) while finally having Noto Castle on Soul Calibur 7 (Soul Calibur 8)

THE best! a little bit better than soul calibur better than soul calibur 2 much better than soul calibur 3 much much better than soul calibur 4 I hope you agree
the only thing that can be said about the composer of this music.....THE LEGEND WILL NEVER DIE
Damn, look how young he was! Kinda miss the young Mitsurugi...
I agree!!! I think he looks the best in this game!!!!

I'm aware of the harmonic progression used, but how they used it was superior to its manifestation in most generic 'epic' soundtracks.
Maximillian Rodriguez best part of the song
I mostly really just Think that Hwang Sung Kyung & Raphael Sorel were The True Ryu Hoshi &
Keith Mcmahon Of The Soul Calibur Universe.

Man That's a great experience! How I miss the days when this kind of games give you mindblows every minute.
They didn't need to make Heishiroe Mitsurigi young again or make a Remake Reboot. that's not a Challenge
nobody chooses mitsurugi by accident. he was the default first option!
Reversal Edge & those must be removed
This song plays in SC6! Excellent homage to the OG Mitsurugi theme!
When you heard the beginning of this track, you knew it was going down! FIGHT!
This sounds like battle music in an old JRPG
Good ear. It comes from that era of composing.
He's better off having Stages Located In Japan
Mitsurugi & Cervantes' themes were the best
Heroic, suits Mitsurugi.
The man who will win a gun fight with a sword 🗡️
I miss young Mitsurugi, he was badass and fought way faster than he does now...Namco...why did you have to nerf him? His theme went well with how aggressive his playstyle was too
Because the music in the series got nerfed.
True man, he became much more sluggish, a big bummer
@@Kilesfactor it was great up to the SC3. But after that the music was nerfed. All of it.

I think that is like Jin Kazama and Hwoarang
Best theme with intro theme...Gets me the thrill! I want to take a horse, run in the meadow or cross the seas!
REMAKE THIS GAME NOOOOW!

already ... check soul calibur 6 now
Hells Yes! :D
@Raymond Darmawan SC6 is a reboot of Soul Calibur 1 not Soul Blade.
A portion of this was resampled in Soul Calibur 3 blade seeker.
His KSS theme is so much better in my opinion, fits him so much better... the theme if a Samurai
the demon of war
Origin of Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu Sword technique that Kenshin Himura learn :)
all of Mitsurugi themes have same vibes
love it!

Innocent Vision was for Setsuka's Stage. You're looking for the stage with the semi flaming ship in the middle of a feudal war.

Mitsurogi
Vs. Mitsurugi
I liked Mitsurugi but Hwang was the superior character no doubt
O cara que todo mundo acha que é protagonista
