massive lorry fire. 5 fire engines and couple of police.

double hay lorry caught alight whilst traveling down the main road near haverhill. I got there about 5 minutes after it had started. roughly 5 fire engines in attendance. and a couple of police. #lorryfire #fire #firebrigade #police #roadclosed

Yes most definitely! Especially that close to a farm

Because of the remote location and probably no hydrant close they brought a water bouzer to supply the pumps as they only carry 3-5 minutes worth of water supplies each! I guess it’s left to burn under control but ideally if it was possible then they would extinguish it fully without the water shortage.

Yeah I know, they actually drove past me while I was directing traffic, just to watch the fire and only came back when my neighbour pointed out what I was doing, they even asked me If a angry man had spoken to me 😄
