We don't meet people by accident - our paths cross for a reason. Every person we meet in life plays a role in our lives, be it in a big way or a small happenstance encounter. Some people will help us grow, some will make our day, some will be the encouragement we needed, some will hurt us, and some will inspire us to be better.
At the same time, we are playing a role in the lives of others as well. Knowing that paths cross for a reason and how we treat people is significant. A call-out that each of us must ponder; what is our default setting and commonplace in our actions, and our behaviors towards others?
‘As a Man Thinketh’ unfolds in every area of our lives, whether people realize it or not, it is evident day-in and day-out.
Thank you for this important reminder messaging. As you say, it’s a 101 Foundational Teaching of our Faith.

My adult children could benefit from this .
I'm old enough to remember when children were taught to be respectful towards other people.
I’m 46 (in 2022) and I’m that old. It’s amazing how much things can change in half a lifetime!!
Satan is dead set on destroying the family and does it most effectively by binding fathers in selfish sin and fear and by dividing marriages. The result... children who don’t learn strong values because their parents are too weak to teach them.

The theme of honouring people as being made in the image of God is a basic Biblical idea, and I admit, my heart needs more work in that area.

The honor list is such a great idea! I am starting mine for my husband, wish I had done this with my mom too. I told her of her importance quite often but you're right, it's different to be able to read it also.

I hate the question: what do you do? I figure the person can tell me what they do if they want to, I don't really need to know. If I'm talking to someone and enjoying the conversation I couldn't care what they do. The world's "success" is materialism and worldly wealth. Give my God's wealth 🙏

And yet it's confusing that Focus on the Family does not show to honor Dr. Dobson, the founder who without, Focus on the Family would not be.
Focus has a portrait of Doctor Dobson and Shirley hanging in the entranceway, and they have "founded by Dr. James Dobson" on the letterhead. They often refer to Dr. Dobson with honor when referring to efforts that he started years ago. What else would you like to see?

This is not true, FOF did NOT demand that workers be vaccinated! They were prepared to comply with the OSHA requirement or face fines that would waste the donor's money. They prayed the Supreme Court would kill the OSHA requirement and they did. Please check your facts.
