Whats happening with nvidia? Why is the stock dropping like a hot potato?
Even with the drop, the stock is still up 145% ytd. You would have to expect some people to take profits at some point. If you bought in January, you more then doubled your money. Now imagine all the people who bough 2 years ago, or 5 years ago. They made 600% in 2 years and 2800% in 5 years. Nvidia swelled for them to a huge position in their portfolio. Of course they are going to take profit. NVDA is currently valued according to a very optimistic growth rate. One that is not sustainable long term. The gamble is “when” the growth will slow down, not “if”.
First people watch amazon prime not for their ads, watch for uninterrupted streaming content. And same for their e-commerce sponsor ads, people come for shopping not for sponser ads.
This is starting of amazon downfall as moat is built around what people like in this is space unlock forced moat due to regulated requirement like health insurance. Ads for Amazon is driving the company in wrong direction long-term. Uts just one click away for user to unsubscribe to amazon and switch to something else
Agreed, core Amazon is undergoing enshittification on a massive scale. The store is flooded with chinese trash, its ratings system is completely useless, deliveries are super expensive, and now Prime is getting completely useless (it was always worse then e.g. Netflix IMO).
Amazon is really degrading, I wonder when the stock market will notice
