I just wish someone would make a Halo mod that brings Bungie's criminally underrated third person action game Oni into the world of Halo. I wanna play as Konoko while beating the shit out of the Covenant!! And yes, Oni was once a Bungie owned game before being sold to Take Two of all companies, that's how we got the PS2 port of the game by the way.

A sequel to Oni was in the works under the (possible) working title of Oni 2: Death & Taxes, but was cancelled after Angel Studios was aquired by the company to form Rockstar San Diego. Yeah, Angel Studios, the absolute madmen behind the Midnight Club, Smuggler's Run, and Midtown Madness games, were working on Oni 2
Honestly, I would be down for a brutal combat evolved that was developed in a similar vein as brutal half life. I.e. keeping the core gameplay loop but amping it up to eleven with new guns (not replacement guns or guns that are reskinned, *new* new guns.) and an expanded basekit (what the player can do regardless of what weapons they have.) that brings the gameplay to a more modern standard without sacrificing anything that the original had. (At least, not sacrificing anything that would actually be missed.)
Can't believe halo reach had models like the elites having guts. Implying there was going to be more brutality but probably got cut due to rating reasons
If halo had gore like this i could see why it got M rated. But it didnt. Why halo was rated M for so long baffels me, its no worse than a modern pg-13 movie

This mod does have new guns. They're not skins and they don't replace anything
