I think you’re supposed to shake the foundation. It is an elixir with a ball. All the reviews I saw have been dewy.
That makes sense! So far I have loved the way it looks on other influencers so I was a little surprised to see how it looked on her. It really wasn't flattering. I hope she decides to try it again 🤞

Regarding celebs coming out with makeup: If someone wants to do something, is able to do it, and it isn't hurting anyone they should do it.
Yeah but I feel like they're only doing it because everybody else's is and because as celebs a lot of people will buy it and thus they'll make a lot of profit whereas a bunch of people dedicated their life to makeup and don't make it to the light. It isn't fair to me.

Yeah! It has been looking amazing on almost everyone skin, but I think that was the problem, that's why I don't trust reviews that much anymore. Every product performs different depending on skin type and how you apply it, specially the last one

I have it I also have normal skin and shaved my face. It clung to the hairs, separated, clung to dry patches (I don’t even have dry patches so wtf) so idk why you tubers are saying that. They need to stop putting blurring filters and show what it really looks like cause I was so excited and it was horrible

I feel like this is the only review that I saw where the foundation was matte, every single review I saw it was super dewy. Like people commented about how dewy it was ( all skin types ).
It’s because everyone has different skin types and oil in their skin. Hers is a very dry type
That’s what I am saying tho people who have severely dry skin who used the brand said they liked it because of the dewyness of it and it was the one brand that did well with there skin , but they all shook the bottle. She didn’t so I think that’s why it came off matte the formula must separate and shaking it is very important for the out come of the foundation . Like she said she’s going to retry it she never read the pamphlets on how to use it so she’s going to give it a second shot ! Which I think it will decently come out different the second try .

No she does and your right everyone has different skin. But I did watch a read reviews yesterday and people are saying if you don’t shake the bottle it comes out dry . So just make sure if you get this make up shake the bottle it’s like whole new product. I’m guessing with it be light weight medium coverage and a little goes along way that the foundation must settle a little bit so if you don’t shake it your not getting the proper effect. I hope she gives another shot.

I've watched several videos and I saw that others shook the foundation before using it. I'm not sure if you shook it (wasn't shown in the vid), but I wonder if that would have made a difference :o
Im suprised it looks so textured. I have psorasis and dry skin and made my skin look flawless, hydrated and even it didnt cling to my dry patches and covered my psorasis well o.O

Nope I shook mine, I tried the foundation and it clings to any texture, dry patches, it separated very easily and quickly.. it was just .. a mess. I loved the concealer tho

I’m grateful for this review.. not everything is always peaches and cream for everyone all the time. Things happen, people arent perfect and application isnt always perfect. This line is beautiful but as a consumer I need to see how things perform in all ways. This helps me make a more informed choice on buying. Makeup isnt cheap yall.
I feel like she let it sit for a while, and that might be why it looks cakey. The other review that I watched showed the foundation as glowy.

Hi! You asked what we think about celebs creating makeup lines and here’s my thoughts. I think people are too quick to judge celebs’ actions without knowing them personally and personally I feel like if a celeb wants to get into something new it’s always worth seeing how the products are because if they’re great and the company has good values then that’s amazing and we all win. But if they are a waste of time then we can decide that it reflects poorly on the celeb. I think celebs get to experience all sorts of makeup (high end especially) on sets or for shoots for work and probably have pretty good opinions on the products used on them! To me, from what little I’ve seen of Selena’s brand thus far, it’s so clear she has a passion for helping others shine and feel confident. I think through all of her different mediums she wants to inspire customers, listeners, viewers etc to be their authentic selves because she has personally been encouraged to be confident in what makes her unique, and her passion is to help others feel the same way. I am not a huge Selena fan by any means. I like her fine and know who she is obviously, but am just insanely impressed with this line (& what it stands for, how it’s made, the philanthropic aspect, etc). To me this is a win for the makeup community, and I think maybe more importantly, people who want to get into makeup or want help in feeling beautiful by enhancing their natural features.
Hi, you should've shake the foundation at least 6 seconds that's included in the leaflet. (Been watching a lot of reviews about RB and so far they're loving the foundation, concealer, blush and Lippie's) But thank you for the review 😊 maybe there's a problem in the product (foundation) that was sent to you or really doesn't suits your skin type. Whilst Rare beauty seems to be designed for a really natural 'no make-up' look, it was interesting to see it used for more of a glam look and what did and didn't work well. I definitely do feel like these products are made to be kind of 'less is more' with everything being so pigmented and enhancing natural features (like the blush and brow products). Thanks for the honest review!

I just got the foundation and swatched it. I still have to wear it on my face but for the looks of it.. looks off. I did shake it and everything, put it on my wrist and wow. Its like oily but then you blend it and it looks like powder, it goes into every line. I have dry skin and was so excited because I love Selena but I don't think it will work. Still have to try it on the face later maybe I'll love it idk.

Just got the foundation today. I have textured skin as well and let me tell you, it looked amazing!! I was hesitant after her review, but after trying I would say it’s the best foundation I’ve tried so far. It hid my acne scars and bumps so well. Definitely worth a try!

She just promoted other brands in this whole video she applied another brands blush another brands highlighter and foundation the only things she actually kept of rare beauty only on her skin were liner, concealer and lipstick
Watching a whole bunch of other reviews, I wish she read the pamphlet that came with the PR box that explains what everything is and how it works. Like there are 8 blushes and illuminizers, and 12 matte creams not 6

I love the fact that Selena's beauty products are vegan and cruelty free as it really matters to me and I never buy products that are not cruelty free.
The sphere on the top is to help people with arthritis to be able to open it with their palm instead of their fingers!! Love the blush especially!

I am huge fan of your honesty christen, and I understand I am not a beauty guru, but If I were u, I would've tried the primer with any of my other favourite foundation and vice versa to see was it the primer or the foundation that caused such texture definition. Haven't tried the primer myself but everyone who has used the foundation including me have loved it. And yes, most of us also have texture and my skin has eczema which means it's dry AF, but that foundation never disappointed. Do give it another shot. Lysm♥️

Why are Selena’s fans so rude? I love Selena Gomez. We are the same age and I’ve been following her since she started, probably been a fan longer than some of her young stans. Selena would be disgusted at how rude some of you are being to Christen. She gave her honest review and it’s true. The foundation looks patchy on dry skin. I have it as well. Grow up and stop attacking people for not saying everything about the brand is perfect, without honest feedback they won’t be able to improve their formula which trust me it needs to be improved.
