    i got my visa approved too recently! same purpose as yours but some of my questions were different. visa interview will never be "uniform". always come prepared. remember what you wrote sa ds-160, practice q&a and just bring some documents in case na itatanong. i know hindi na sila nag aask ng documents like bank statements, coe, etc. but in my case tinanong ako if i have a exam confirmation with me.

      Hi Mary, do you have to schedule the appointment for the exam confirmation? or is the ATT enough? I already have an ATT but did not booked a slot for exam specifically at Guam yet. Thanks for the response.

    Happy New Year, Drea! This is incredibly helpful. Just a couple of questions: When did you have your US VISA interview, especially considering your exam is in July? Also, how did they know the exact date (July 26) of your exam? Did they happen to come across that information during your conversation? 😁

    • @dreaenrera3557
      @dreaenrera3557  Před 7 měsíci

      Good question! I didnt realize about the date but the first interview on the first counter(consul was at 3rd counter), they asked me about the exam and when it would be while typing So maybe it was added to my info then. With my date, we actually moved it a couple of times to make sure we get one closest to our exam date so to get a bigger chance of approval. So maybe 1-2months before your date is ideal. Just not too far. My friend who took it with me, she had hers Feb and they didnt give her the visa right away. They had her mail her passport to the embassy 1 month before the exam date. It was ok but a bit of a hassle i guess

    Hi! I’ll be having a visa interview on September but I’m so scared that I might get denied of the visa. Currently, I’m still on the credentialing stage of FCCPT but I am planning to take the NPTE by July next year. Is it possible for me to get approved even though I don’t have a confirmation for the exam schedule yet? 🥺

    • @dreaenrera3557
      @dreaenrera3557  Před 9 dny

      @@JeAnn-j5c Im not sure. Everyone I know who applied had the confirmation from Fsbpt and prometric center already. Because they will ask for the specific date of the exam. Also, its important on your part that your schedule to take is 100% set in stone. Usually the visa they give for test takers will only allow you a specific period of time. like within 1-2wkd of the exam. So if something happens that delays your intended exam date, youll have to reapply for the visa again. So if you can, you really might be better off rescheduling your visa interview. Thats what we did. We rescheduled 2x to get the closest date.

    if VO ask me : "What's your purpose visit to US?". Can i answer this based on i write on DS-160: "My wife & I are going to LA and other cities in California on Sep 3rd until Sep 24th for summer holiday. We already book return flight and hotels for those trip". Is this kind of answer categorized too long / too much details? Or should i just say "We're going to holiday to LA & SF on September"

      Hi Cejay! Mine was very specific to the exam so only one entry, but I have more than a few classmates who were given multiple entry just to take the exam. So i think it depends on the consul. I’ve talked to a lot of test takers over the years and it really varies. Its difficult to say but for me for the exam, one entry was all i wanted. Hope that helps 🥰

      Lots of job here in Southern California for medical fields, electro-mechanical technicians and I.T. Just get a degree, certificate, or OJT. Buy a used car, cook your own food and avoid eating out. Find low crime rate area and get an apartment roommate if you are single. Wala pa akong nakitang Filipino homeless dito sa Riverside county.

    May I ask with regards to answering the DS-160 form, did you indicate it as self funded?? Or were you sponsored by a family member? And does it affect getting approved or denied?

    • @dreaenrera3557
      @dreaenrera3557  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hi, we indicated it was self-funded. But I had a friend who got support from his parents. He got approved but had questions from the consul regarding that. I was told Americans are quite big with independence at a certain age, esp after graduating, so it’s not unusual that they find it odd if the parents are funding. Hope that helps

      Its does effect your approval .. if you don't have money in the bank to fund your trip you know very well your not getting a visa
