  • I completed the Lingoda Super Sprint and these are my final thoughts. Is the Sprint worth it? Will you improve? And where do I go from here? I answer these questions and more to hopefully help you make a decision if you are considering joining. Now is the time to level up your Spanish game and the Lingoda Super Sprint may be exactly what you need.

    Oh no! I’m sorry to hear you didn’t get the refund. I was rooting for you after seeing your last Lingoda video. Great overview. I agree on all the points you mentioned, both positive and negative. I enjoyed using Baselang myself too. My only complaint with them is that there seems to be much less structure once you reach the higher levels. Great job with you Spanish though! It sounds like you’ve improved a lot. Keep up the great work! -Jim

    Love this! It's great to hear all the ways that the Super Sprint helped you improve your Spanish. I just started classes with Lingoda a few weeks ago (and just shared a video on my channel of my first week of classes!) and I'm loving it so far. You're inspiring me to try the Super Sprint one day!

    I'm doing this backwards since I saw your Baselang vid last night but on this one, first, just the fact I watched it from beginning to end is a huge complement so great job, but the comment is, don't be surprised if the Castilian comes back in a positive way for you - and as they said, they showed you the differences - Texas or not - you're young so be encouraged to know that you had an opportunity to be exposed to it if for nothing else than to be exposed to it. Almost no education is ever wasted.
    Best,
    Daniel

    I'm from Spain and I want to learn German with Lingoda. I'm really really beginner, just used Duolingo to learn everything I know by the moment XD thanks for all this information, it was really really useful! Keep on with Spanish!

    Seeing these make me feel worried about my upcoming super sprint. I know it’s not easy but I’m determined but yet, I’m so afraid there would be circumstances that I can’t control. It does make me feel very worried but I can’t cancel it now. I hope to complete this for my A1/2 level and then from there will take it slow as I still have my korean too. If Lingoda is good I will continue with them and another regular sprint (only when I’m confident) as I feel upper beginner is quite comfortable to navigate around a bit better with more learning opportunities. You had 90 days and I only have 60 but yet I’m scared now

    Inspirational Brother, I am looking into Lingoda at the moment. I have used Baselang Real World for a month and enjoy it. At the moment, I am deciding if I want to do the Lingoda Sprint or the Baselang Grammerless.

      Lingoda can be a bit pricey for the short term, but the Super Sprint was well worth it. I also use Baselang right now, but I’ve gotten further with Baselang faster due to the Super Sprint. Go for it!

    Great video, thank you so much. You sound super confident at the beginning - I thought you were actually Spanish!
    Quick question about those T&C's: I just read through them and Lingoda state that you can only do a max of 1 lesson a day, 5 days a week. Was this your experience? The maths doesn't seem to add up if they're advertising that you do 30 lessons a month 🧐

    • @TheSpanishLEO
      @TheSpanishLEO  Před 3 lety

      Thank you very much! The Sprint is advertised as 3 months with 30 classes per month. You take a class each day of the month. however, Lingoda defines their months i.e January 15th- February 13th. This is only 29 days, so yes the math does not add up at the end as advertised. You may technically only complete 87 total days if their months during the current promotion are only 29 days long.

      @@TheSpanishLEO Hi, I believe they count the first and the last day also, I mean the 15th of January and the 13th of February. If so, there are 30 days in total. Do you think it's not possible to achieve someone this challenge?

  • @Dashdonkey
    @Dashdonkey Před 3 lety +1

    Baselang is the way to go! The way Lingoda is set up is designed to make you fail the challenge which is how they make their money.

    • @TheSpanishLEO
      @TheSpanishLEO  Před 3 lety +1

  • @prody666

    I don't think there is such a thing as "Latin America Spanish". You are talking about an entire continent with different countries and the Spanish language spoken in each of them has its specificities. But it is still the Spanish language, the differences of vocabulary are insignificant, compared to the whole picture. It is as if I would go to Lingoda and ask to learn US English, not UK English. When in fact we are talking about some small, insignificant differences when it comes to vocabulary. And the pronunciation, I agree, but it is the same language.

  • @sandydegener6436
    @sandydegener6436 Před 3 lety +1

    "Latin American Spanish" is a dialect.
