Jones should be stripped of the title for inactivity
he had it put in his contract he can't be stripped after being stripped last time and losing out on the bonus pay from holding the belt when he came back
Remember some people calling the ufc racist? Jones owns the ufc. He can do PED's, run over people, fire guns in public etc etc and ufc will always back him.
@@user-mj7eb2nv8s Well, isn't that convenient.

Very likely, he has dominated light heavyweights much better than Jon Jones. You can say his one loss in the UFC versus Izzy was a fluke because he drained himself so badly 😂

Why not ? DC won the HW Title on a much smaller frame. Alex can defend takedowns and he hits and kicks way harder.
Against other guys yeah, but not aspinall
DC fought people were not that so big, Stipe 230 to 240 not like 275 or something. Aspinal is almost maxing out the weight, someone like Cyril Game, are not too big, But Aspinal is really big and the size could be a problem, Jones made sure he was fully big and got used to the weight too, Izzy miscalculated when he fough Jan Blahovich and the size was too much esp in the wrestling, or clinching department.
Alex needs to be as big or get strong enough to push and out muscle thise BIG guys.
There is a video a of skinny guy in body building videos who can carry extremely heavy things.
Like that he can match at least their size with power and everything.
But if Alex match Ngannou s recording punching some machine then he could give Aspinal or any HW problem, although I think Aspinal will knock him like Izzy did the last time.
But who knows, its good to have dreams and try pursue them
Unpopular opinion: Poatan flattens Aspinall in less than 2 🤷🏻♂️
Sure, Tim has average takedowns…
Which is actually the perfect test at this stage for Alex much like Ankalaev at LHW and technically even guys like Khamzat at MW could have gave Alex problems since wrestling is the weakest part of his game still but he seems to be doing fine 😅
@@BurningBushPedagogy Doesnt matter how big they are. Alex is faster than any heavyweight.
@BurningBushPedagogy Lewis was a huge 265lb dude and DC whooped his ass
I think Alex could do well as an heavy weight, but they should ease him into it. Having the first match against Aspinall could end very badly just from the lack of experience
The power in hw is absolutely different. Hw fighters train and eat whatever they want because there's no weight limit. Unlike in mw and below, you need to maintain a certain weight if not you'll be disqualified. The food you intake after the training is important. You will regain and recover fast and the nutrients that your body needs will be supplied correctly. Train eat cycle while in the training camp is important. While others needs to cut weight which definitely affects their performance.
he has a black belt now, what are you talking about😂
@@boybaccarat265 is the weight limit at heavyweight cuz
He is a huge LH and can easily fight at HW. He can KO anyone at HW, the biggest problem is if he comes across a grappler at that weight, but his punch power is the equaliser. He will physically transition better than Jon Jones, the difference is JJ is supremely skilled and has a very high IQ.
He's bloody good but shouldn't hurry vs Aspinal; Pereira struggled in ground vs a ~80 Kg Adesanya and Tom is a 118 Kg ground monster... If Pereira wants to transt to HW He should prepare with time, gain size and start with something easier, unless He wants to ge demolsihed.

I love how jon jones says he needed 3 yrs to pack on the weight "in the right way" to become a heavyweight but basically looks like he ate 6 lasagnas a day for 6mos.
You judging a man by his looks is extremely homosexual. Did he not beat ciryl gane in 127 seconds? Idk if this is the sport for gay boys. Jon suffered a career ending injury yet didn't retire and plans to fight again. 3 years isn't ridiculous to move up and fill out in the largest weight discrepancy division, couldn't expect a 115 lb kid to know shit about shit though.
Crazy how jones can sit on the belt and do nothing for 2 years already. Classic jones will never change. Why he’s not the goat. Guy is literally scared to lose his precious belt.

Indeed he is. But there are levels that even Alex knows about and Tom for his first match on that level is very risky. Very risky
@@josiahpulemau6214 Alex would beat Tom up so long as its remains standing. Alex KO in rd 1.
This match-up strikes me as very interesting. For some context, i'm a total Alex Supporter, i ought to be, I train at Glover's Gym in Danbury talked to him a few times, and just saw him inspiring 10yr kids at the gym just yesterday right before my BJJ class; I'm pretty known to MMA recent college grad previous athletic experience was in Track and also did calisthenics. I and everyone in my hometown is totally in alex's corner, and you can tell he has incredible mental strength, it's in his eyes when he stares at you, he is fearless, strong, powerful, smart and skilled, not the fasted guy and mostly a stand-up fighter but he is a legit heavyweight at 6'4 can def get as big as 240-250. I also really like Tom, and he is definitely a legit heavy weight at 6'5 and all of 265, highly skilled and much more well rounded, but Alex is that big, that powerful, and has the moment and vision to get this done. It would be Alex's job to keep it on the feet and attack Tom's legs, tho Tom's leck kicks also look really good, Tom would have to take it to the ground and use his higher level BJJ and wrestling and size and power of his own i would think, tho he can stand well to but i would give the edge to Alex on the feet
I feel like he makes elite strikers look like amateurs probably a larger gap in striking than a slight edge
Hah i like to under sell things, i have seen Alex workout twice; he hits with clean, precise shots that pierce the air, basically every time; he also recently beat Francis's punch record, yes he has a significant advantage in many ways however, I have also watched Tom and i said slight to be nice to him bc he has also beaten a lot of good strikers seemingly without much fanfare, and he has fought at heavyweight his whole career weight the limit easily most of the time, I think he can punch with anyone at heavyweight but since Alex has been fighting and lowe weight class's this was my attempt to give them both there props,
One the best fighter I've seen all combat sport included.
I love Alex. But he should get some more in ring experience use of his grappling before moving up to heavyweight. I support the heavyweight move eventually but right now it could hurt his career. If he does it should not be a top 10 heavyweight. I want to see this guy for a long time. Hes already probably the most popular fighter. He has been able to make his fans get his personality even with a language barrier. Take your time Alex.
