Paisley has just become my 5th child to get braces! Shaun took her early last week to get them and she’s loved having them so far! This girls can’t stop smiling and showing them off! She went with Teal and Red this time, but you can let her know what color to get next time by COMMENTING BELOW 👇🏻
We foster dogs from an animal rescue from time to time, so I decided to do it again. This past week, we began fostering a new puppy, her name is Elsa (but Paisley calls her Ellie or Eloise). She has been a fun temporary addition to the family. She is only with us for 3-4 weeks, so we are all crossing our fingers that SOMEONE in the family adopts her (😉😉 Brooklyn).
This week was fun for Rylan because even though she’s graduated from high school, and working full time and online college classes, all of her friends are Seniors, she got asked to Homecoming! A good friend of hers asked this week, and she’s SUPER excited to still be able to go! Likely her very last last taste of high school before she heads off to college in Utah in January.
One of our longtime subscribers who works in the Space Force saw our Back to School backpack video several weeks ago, noticing Daxton's backpack with all the NASA and space patches I sewed onto it. She was so sweet and put together a whole package with more space patches, even HIGHLY collectible ones (with a handwritten note for each one), along with a t-shirt and key lanyard. I am not sure I you can tell, but Daxton was SO THRILLED! This act of kindness totally melted this momma's heart, and totally made Daxton's back-to-school season!

mindy!! i’ve been on a competitive swim team for 8 years. paisley looks great in the water. so i’m guessing she has never done butterfly before, it’s hard! for her i would work on getting her arms all the way out of the water. when you get your arms all the way out of the water ( it’s less drag obvi) but it gets the butt up as well which gives you more power for the next stroke. obviously i know she just started and i’m not gonna lie, she looks absolutely like a natural!! like wow!! backstroke looking great just work on speeding up the arms but she’s knew and looks so good already!!! and breaststroke is also another hard stroke. so your arms are going as you’re snapping your legs together. she just has to find her rhythm then she will be so fast!! also love the braces pais!!! they’re so cute! hope you see this and hope it helps! love ya stay safe!! 💋

Paisley looks just fine in her braces, she doesn't have to worry about smiling a particular way at all...I wouldn't even put that out there especially since she hasn't mentioned being self conscious. I had braces around the same age - freshman year in high school- as long as you floss and brush and avoid the foods the dentist tells you religiously there will be no issues. The only time she will be sore is when they are tightened and they have to change out any parts, but not everyone is the same. My sister felt no discomfort, but I always ate soft foods only for a few days after having my braces tightened. So many kids get braces now that it's not a stigma...it's like glasses or contacts. Can't believe these two young ones are so big❤🙂. Oh, wax and numbing spray should be in her arsenal because if you have a more sensitive mouth, the braces can rub in spots and creatr tears in your cheeks so wax those spots that rub up and you'll have no issues. My sister and I had a little kit we took to school- mouthwash,threading flossers,flossing brushes(the brushes that can get between your braces where toothbrushes can't), travel toothpaste, wax and numbing ointment or spray and brushed after every meal - that was super important if you want healthy and white teeth once your braces are removed.
Congrats on everything!! Also Paisley I have braces rn, and when I first got them, they did not hurt, maybe some pressure but overall good!
I have a standard bernedoodle named Winston, hes the sweetest large dog ever. I couldn’t resist skipping to see Elsa and her cuteness!

I guessed pink and purple so no to your question Paisley😆 The only thing I’d say for braces is *do not* be afraid to tell your orthodontists that something is hurting because that’s how I ended up with a wire stabbing into my mouth for 3 months and causing a terrible sore. Elsa is so cute and she looks just like my bernedoodle when she was a puppy🥺 Love these vlogs! Love and prayers from Alabama 🥰

Ive got a bernedoodle, shes super sweet but shes got crippling social anxiety. Pls try to socialize her as much as you can. The personality needs to be spread. Truly the sweetest little girl

Hi Paisley, My braces weren't painful.They were really annoying the first week bc they def felt like little weights on each tooth. They made my teeth feel like little sore weights .

I’ve never had braces but I did need them at the time I was certain I didn’t want them with restrictions on type of food, if you need braces I highly recommend you get them so you don’t have a tooth behind another tooth.

Yes when I got braces they hurt so bad it will hurt for a couple of days when you first get them , just make Sure you brush your teeth three times a day, and eat properly so you won’t break any brackets, and when they give you rubber bands please wear them because it helps and make sure that you floss your teeth And also if you have a wire that is messing with your gums that Wax they give you will help wax they give you will help good luck !! 🥰

I always hated doing butterfly and breaststroke(water up my nose even with the clip)...I'm terrified of water deeper than anything I can stand in, with my chin completely out of the water... I went straight from swim lessons to swim team because the coaches wanted me in... I stayed afraid but I loved being on the swim team... and the meets were great too
