  • Welcome to my channel! Today, I'm going to show you how to make a delicious Gratin Dauphinois for 6 people. Follow this simple and tasty recipe to get a creamy and perfectly seasoned gratin.
    Ingredients:
    - 1.8 kg of potatoes
    - 1 clove of garlic
    - 500 ml of heavy cream (30% fat)
    - 500 ml of whole milk
    - Salt, pepper
    - Butter
    Instructions:
    1. Peel about 1.8 kg of potatoes and place them in water to prevent them from turning black.
    2. Slice the potatoes into 2-3 millimeter thick slices using a mandoline or a knife.
    3. Crush a clove of garlic and rub it on a gratin dish. Then butter the dish.
    4. Arrange the first layer of potatoes in the dish, season with salt and pepper. Add another layer in the opposite direction and continue this way until the dish is full, seasoning each layer.
    5. Pour 250 ml of milk, then 250 ml of heavy cream. Add another 250 ml of milk and 250 ml of heavy cream.
    6. Place the dish in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 60 minutes.
    7. Check the cooking with a knife. The gratin is even better when eaten the next day.
