- In today's episode, our goal was to go out and try to get some bobber downs for salmon on video! The river was very HIGH, and we hoped the fish would be moving, and we could just sit back and pick them off float fishing eggs. We're salmon fishing with eggs, and doing some twitching! You really don’t need to apologize for creating high quality videos on the regular doing something that we all enjoy and feeling bad for “only” catching two coho! It’s a joy to just get out on the river anytime and to take something home should always be a blessing and not the fixation.
I love how you talk about the "struggles" of salmon and steelhead fishing when I am back on a dry spell. What make's it worse is I will fish for hours and then my friend will show up and catch one in 15 mins.

love seeing the curing vids! I use a variation of the 321 cure for steelhead and have had good success, but would you use the eggs you just cured for salmon or steelhead? been trying to find a good salmon cure but been hard to find one and test it when the rivers are blown out. Plus skeins are hard to come by when you're not bonkin fish😂
I’m a first cast type of guy. Then my luck goes to shit straight after😂 I’ll catch a fish within 5-15 minutes of fishing then it just goes dry. Great video!

Have you guys shown how you set up that hoochie for twitching before? Not sure I've seen that. You just thread a line through it with an egg weight in it and a hook tied behind that?
Makes me wish I had a drift rod with more power. I was getting worked by Coho in skinny water with my NFC ST 905.

Love me some addicted fishing. But I’m from Northern California and anytime I get a river that color it is game on. Definitely not muddy in my opinion. But I guess it depends on how your trying to fish, I’m still a Side Drifting, Bait Bouncing son of a gun. So for that, the river color in this video is ideal. Like said no hate hear, I’m a huge fan. Unfortunately our rivers here at home are silt filled and easily blown out, so we’re grateful for water that color.

Freezing them in mason jars can work good.

That water isn't muddy it's murky but not muddy it's actually better for the water to be that color keeps the fish from seeing you sometimes makes them bite better
So those puss balls ruin the meat correct? Caught a few like that this year and was too skeptical to keep them.
