    • @WholeCosmos
      @WholeCosmos Před 2 dny +9

      B vitamins and protein are more important than polyphenols but polyphenols and other plant molecules are very beneficial too. a balanced diet has people living the longest. the blue zone peeps eat lean meats and fish but also MOSTLY vegetables. a lot of people have specific food allergies and sensitivities. listen to your own body and how it responds to different stimuli. The Carnivore diet lacks essential vitamin C. if you go carnivore long enough you will get scurvy and probably be deficient in magnesium and potassium as well as many micronutrients. 5:03 The obligate carnivores like big cats can make their own vitamin c. we lost the biosynthetic ability to do this so we need vitamin C from plants. Humans are OMNIVORES!, not carnivores, not frugivores and not herbivores. we need fruit vegetables and animal foods all to thrive. But we certainly don't need ultra processed fast foods AT ALL.

    Talk about trying to take ALL the fun out of eating even just the occasional "cheat" meal. We shouldn't have to feel that we MUST eat PERFECTLY all the time. No one lives FOREVER - Nor should anyone WANT TO. It's not a crime to want to enjoy our meals once in a while, and especially enjoy the TASTE; regardless how NUTRITIONAL they may or may not be. Just make those meals ONCE IN A BLUE MOON EXCEPTIONS RATHER THAN REGULARLY OCCURRING RULES.

    • @jasonhurst8599
      @jasonhurst8599 Před 2 dny +1

      @TheFirstAmendment I get that, but at the same time we can't live every second of our lives living in fear, or always thinking that the WORST MIGHT happen. They also always fail to mention that people have been eating these types of "not the healthiest" foods for decades, and many - if not the majority - of them live long, happy lives. Especially those who only eat this way on occasion. Also I seriously doubt that most people ever even think, much less care about how ANY food - healthy or not - affects their brain neurons or whatever unless they have a specific reason to do so. Especially if the possible effects are very minor anyway.
      Not saying we shouldn't be wary or vigilant, or educated; but there is such a thing as OVER thinking things, or becoming anal about things. The stress of worrying about every single miniscule little morsel of food we even consider eating will do far more damage than whatever it is we're worrying about in the first place ever will.
