Their programs success rely's on recruiting and transfers. Different set of rules from NorCal and SoCal High School Football. NorCal kids lose their jr and sr seasons and schools are penalized. Just look at their rosters, the number of kids and sizes and talent...It not the coaching.

Had my last high school game this week, this entire season our team only had 27 players at a 4A school. Everyone was playing both ways and at least two special teams. We lost all but 1 game, however that one game was against the #7 team in our region. We are in the process of rebuilding entirely with a new weight room and new coaching staff though. All of this came up on my last year and it just sucks I don't have more time. Good luck to any guys in hs who wanna play man, even if you don't think you're good enough keep pushing yourself and working harder and you'll get there. It's all mentality and heart that matters. For me all i can do is hope to head off to college and I hope oud team gets better with JV under the wing of our new coaches.

Texas football i would say is usually like this from what I’ve seen, mostly in bigger districts with a “bit” of money invested in their athletic programs, but my high school in San Antonio was like this. Not as big as having a whole Jumbotron and what not , but pretty advanced in regards to the huge stadiums, big crowds/crazy atmosphere, crazy rivalries, media coverage, and super talented d1 bound players.

when I was in high school and played St. John Bosco (which was back in 2014 when they were much better than 2019) before league we played them and they wanted to disrespect us on our home turf and play with their backup QB and RB because they thought they secured the W. They were still good don't get me wrong but we ended up securing the W 38-28
and as 5'3 slot receiver I had 7 catches with 137 yds and 2 TD's. It was an awesome victory that I would never forget

I graduated from Bosco (home team) back in 2011. Friday night games during my time were empty. Our football team was so bad that You couldn’t pay some students to attend. Halfway through The senior year football season, they fired the football coach and brought in Jason negro to take over the program. Crazy to think that In 8 years, They went from being the worst team in our local league to now ranked #1 in the nation.
