Si Kahn also wrote the great song Aragon Mill which is better known as Belfast Mill. "The only tune I hear is the sound of the wind as it blows through the town weave and spin.....weave and spin...." This is another great one

The author, Si Kahn, is American - although I'm more familiar with a 1992 version by Englishman Roy Bailey. Many thanks to everyone who has covered the song, and to this duo for an exciting new version!!

As for a song that is thought to be from the UK but is actually from the area of Australia, I think you may be thinking of "Farewell to the Gold" (1980), covered by England's Nic Jones, with the original version being from New Zealand's Paul Metsers - m.czcams.com/video/lswLTVtqzW8/video.html

Awful. Sounds like they didnt have a clue what they were singing about, were just aping something, the sound is like mud. and I am just glad I was not there.

Well i thought they played well and covered an old classic really well too. You might have slept on the wrong side of the bed last night
