  • This video shows how to hookup a PAL Commodore 64 to an NTSC Monitor (Commodore 1702) which has an NTSC S-Video port, by converting PAL S-video to RGB to NTSC S-Video. This method gave superior results over using HDMI.

    I'm looking for a solution too, but when i saw the Panasonic dvd i checked out ;-)

      Yeah that didn't work out. It reduced the quality too far. The other devices were better.

    Great video! But how did you connect the RGB (SCART) to S-VIDEO (NTSC) device to the back of your Commodore 1702?

      You can get s-video cables for the C64. In my case that would be a PAL signal, hence the need to convert it to NTSC :)
