Great stuff. Just want to add a couple of tips for beginners: Defining a variable with "var" first is optional. You can skip "var" and just type the name of the variable directly. Next, you can use value[] instead of pick-whipping to the same parameter. So instead of transform.scale[0]. simply type value[0] to get the first dimension of the current parameter, in this case transform.scale.
Learning how to use the slider control was a game changer for me! Expressions session has as many laughs as it does knowledge - highly recommended course🤟
i usually just set the opacity to be equal to the checkmark * 100, knowing that a boolean variable only reaches 1. but it's nice to know about the if/else structure.
The man in first make tutorial very good .. I like this guy .. Very clean easy to understand .. 💯 Do you have another channel sir? I want to learn more ..
hello Noel I did the same steeps : choosing Angle control from the Expression control selecting Controller layer. I linked (pick whip) for both Orange and Blue layers but both of them doesn't works( no rotation) 2:42
Intermediate AE user and I keep getting expression errors in the beginning :( "var x = transform.scale[0] + thisComp.layer("controller").effect("scale Slider")("Slider"); Error: undefined value used in expression (could be an out of range array subscript?)" followed your script and pick-whipping perfectly in AE CC 2021 17.0.1 in windows 10, tried it on both shape layers and .ai vector objects. Anyone else have this problem or know a solution? Love your tutorial though!
seriously Moho, far easier software to do this with. Lets say you have 1 week to make a 1min explainer video and you want about 5 characters rigged and animated, well with AE you've spent at least 50% of your time setting up all these complex rigs... in Moho you've done it in an hour, 2 at the max.

The first tutorial was good. Lost me on the second tutorial. {First tutorial < second tutorial};
Same. The second was very technical with the coding which my coding is very basic.
23:24 that´s a really hard way to scale a star.
