Indian voters in some villages of Uttar Pradesh were assaulted by people wearing police uniforms, without name tags. Their Adhaars and Voting slips were taken and they were beaten. Both Men and Women were forced to go home and not vote. Some people still tried and voted. But many women and young men were too afraid to go and vote. This arises a question of What is india becoming, are we still a democracy. Is this how a democracy works? Some of the villagers also claims on camera that they heard the police saying "Vote dalega toh sirf phool ko".
edit - This whole incident is captured by a man hiding near the polling booth the video is available, also for anyone who have seen the video and doubts that the video is old or the source is known. Samdish Bhatia, a youtube news anchor, went to the village to confirm the incident and uploaded testimonies of the actual people who were beaten by the police.
