The Holi Festival is also known as the Festival of Colours. It celebrates the end of winter, the arrival of spring and can be seen as the triumph go good over evil. In 2018, Holi begins on the evening of March 1 and ends on the evening of March 2.
It is celebrated mostly in India and Nepal and, although chiefly a Hindu event, it is observed by other religions including Sikhs, Jains and many others.
