You girls should check out Fatou of BLACKSWAN; she is the first fully African Kpop idol. She is ethnically Sengalese, but became a French national. In my opinion, the group has potential, but so far the songs produced are okayyyy.
Apparently we can 🤔 considering how JYP entertainment is now collaborating with a famous record label in the US and doing a trainee program there, BUT we'll see🤣. And YESS I know about her! And we agree their music is good, it does need a little more power but we supporting and rooting for them!!❤
@@4culturedgirls Oh wow I didn't know that. Very smart of them to get diversity in some groups because it just amplifies the Kpop industry when more people from their international audience see representation I guess.
I think what's important is as long as they speak Korean, it's still Kpop. We'll probably see a future landscape of mixed groups: those who are mostly Korean nationals (of mixed ethnicities) and mixed ethnicities AND nationalities doing more international-focused Kpop.
