- I’ve been on a fabric buying freeze for almost a year. Like I’ve literally only been buying specific fabrics for specific needs with the occasional splurge.
Well, when Melanated Fabrics announced they were going out of business, I took that opportunity to take advantage of getting some fabrics I’d been eyeing. Then I went and ordered some buttons from Joann’s because I have great plans to make all these button downs and I wanted fun buttons. And I needed some basic fabric for a quilt along I’m doing with Satomi Quilts.

For the two buttons, you can make a long sleeved top and use the button for the sleeve plackets. Classy!

Melanated Fabrics was in Atlanta, GA. I received the email, looked at the site & fabric was gone, 😂! I waited a little too long to read my emails.
Listen… I saw the announcement on IG, immediately shopped and things were selling out as I was adding to my cart! It was wild.
I love the fabric haul. I have some gauze been stuck with what to make with it. I can’t wait to see what you do with it. Maybe your spring pattern.
