@stevemalins Its been proven that phones or cameras do not affect any flight instruments or equipment hence why they are able to be used in flight. They are only asked to be turned off as a safety precaution only.
@berbagod1994 no i was also asked to turn off camera while i was shooting landing but i asked one pilot he said that they say to u because for commercial reasons for eg.if we show that entertainment system is not working or seat is not working properly ot food is not proper so it is evidence against airlines so they tell not to use video cams even pilot use to shoot takeoff and landing so its just commercial reason
Ya right I'm a pilot and even I think that's BS. I think video taping and putting landing videos on youtube is good. Unless it's a cellphone it doesn't interfere with anything in the cockpit.

People saying that, signals can interfier with navigation systems is a pure lie. The reason why we turn our phones of is to stop that annoying noise when u put a phone by a speaker. Well that's what the pilots hears if your phone is on. So to the "pilot" who says it messes with the navigational system. Go back to flying school
