- The UCLA Bruins looked to win their 12th WCWS title with a win over Oklahoma in game 2 of the 2019 Women's College World Series. They blew out the Sooners in Game 1, and needed just one more win to be champions. This video is a condensed version of the game to promote college softball to my audience, and educate them about the sport, as a large majority of my audience are baseball fans.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Watching this game highlights reminded me that this is without a doubt the most gritty US college softball game I have ever seen. That era for UCLA was amazing.
Garcia was so chill even after the HR she gave up in the 7th she had a big smile on her face....like 'I got this'
I gain self confidence just watching her composure.
Despite the craziness of that 7th inning, Rachel Garcia of UCLA isn't getting enough credit for getting out of that bases loaded / 1-out jam in the 4th inning. Oklahoma could've broken that game wide open in that inning, but Garcia regained her pitching form and got out of it. Also, gotta love her nonchalant approach to the game. Despite giving up homers and crucial hits, she was laughing everything off.
This whole game was like watching a movie. Way to go Ucla!!!

What a great game. The hitting was outstanding, especially with the speed of these pitches. It’s incredible the batters can pick up the ball at all. No losers here. Both teams were outstanding.

They certainly were. However, I fear it will be tough for OU to be this significant for awhile. Only thing they have going is they play in a very weak conference. It showed this year that they do. UCLA, Washington, Arizona and Oregan beat each other up so much it's tough for them to get the top seed. Expect all but oregan to be there again and prepare for an all Pac 12 championship. Just sayin.

I respect each and every woman that played on the field. When Nickles and Perez got those homers back to back I was literally like; "Well that's a way to start the game."
Softball is literally my life, and I was yelling literally so much for the Bruins my throat now hurts and I was told shut up my all my brothers. I ended up crying and now I'm gonna go to the batting cages since I'm finally motivated.

i don’t like how every time a home run is hit the pitcher that gave the home run up is laughing and smiling. it’s competitive, not a joke. besides that i love watching

It seems like nobody noticed the head coach move when she put a faster runner on second base to get the winning run, that was was a winning move because catcher was just inches from getting prober out. Way to go UCLA TEAM!

I used to coach softball.
I lost count at the defensive mistakes on the last pitch. The biggest one is lack of effort by that left fielder. She should have come up covered in grass stains with that ball in her glove.
When that ball was hit her wheels were not turning. When they did turn they were stuck in 1st gear. That fly ball could have been caught if the outfielder cared about winning that game.

I would have bet 1000$ that no team could score 16 runs against the best pitchers I’ve ever seen, but UCLA did and they kept on hitting. That’s a dynasty but dynasty or not that doesn’t make sense. What happened to OUs pitchers? This was still the most exciting year I’ve seen for the Sooners and they lead in every national category, my heart is broken, not for me but them. UCLA has won 12 now. They got very very lucky. OU pitcher serving up curve balls. No no no.

@@ronniebishop2496 OU is one of the best sport schools. OU softball has been excellent of late. But UCLA is also good against stronger competition. To say UCLA only beat OU because they got "very very lucky" isn't really fair and shows a tremendous lack of knowledge. Stop embarrassing yourself and OU.
Juanita Stew Well we just now actually started getting a lot if people even interested in Softball because of the football program, but they are now and next year they move into their brand new facility which is dynamic. And my pint was scoring 16 runs is a miracle on pitchers like that. But I’ve seen games and played in games like that all my life. I’ve seen teams beat the number one team by Large margins so it’s mightn’t new. However if people like me didn’t continue to promote them and girls sports in general it may not have become like this at all. Most schools in the Big 12 have not yet supported softball like they do other sports like football when that happens it will be interesting. UCLA have had that support for years because they didn’t just focus on football.

I don't know but UCLA's record against Oklahoma this year is 3-0 (the two previous games were won 16-3 and 7-1). I don't think the Sooners got their ranking playing a team like UCLA.

@@jrvasquez Super good pitcher, but only super good in a weak conference. She flat lined in the regionals and WCWS. UCLA outscored her about 28-8 in 2019, yikes. She was good at ASU, not great. Funny how she was All American this that and the other thing at OU.

Baseball #1. Rated by US News and World Report as a world class universtiy; but, wait... OU not even rated. D-1 athlete admittance standards only exceeded by Stanford.., as are graduation rates. Blah blah blah. BTW, maybe OU softball should join a real conference so 40 whatever straight wins isn't the joke it actually was. 2019 UCLA v OU: 3 wins, outscored 28-8.
UCLA is good a being a university, unlike so many sports schools.
